Looks kind of interesting, but he didn't go into any depth, like how the
hell does he load a game into his Xbox 360/PS3? Open it up each time?
Plus, I found his disclaimer about owning ROMs a little amusing ;)

MAME - History in the making
Linux - Humanity in computing
Wasn't impressed with it. I've done better doing it from scratch.

Next upgrade mod for the cabinet is lighted DDR dancepads that plug
into the IPAC and stow away on rollers when not in use.
You have all 3 consoles in that plus MAME?
(Nice BTW)

I do not have any game consoles at all. Never owned one. That was
part of the intent of building the arcade cabinet.
I emulate gameboy to play a couple games, likewise the amiga/c-64/
atari
(Ever hear of M.U.L.E.? if you have not played that game, especially
with other people, do it now. Easily one of the best games I ever
played in 25+ years)
If I stuck a Wii or a PS3 or Xbox360 in an arcade cabinet I am
limiting its playability. I'd rather use it with my 6' projection
screen and THX sound system.
I run Mame, Virtual and Future Pinball, HoD and other gun games,
Daphnie, and the Dragons Lair 1/2/Space Ace games I bought for the PC.
Atomic Bomberman is a fun older PC game that plays well on the arcade
cabinet too. Next is to install StepMania and Frets on Fire for DDR
and Guitar Hero emulation. I am also building a barstool-high 2-tier
platform to mount a Logitech Momo wheel and pedals and be able to plug
it into the arcade cabinet, and sit on a barstool and play the driving
games. (and it neatly would set to one side when not in use.)
I've considered scavenging a driving cabinet, and installing an Xbox
in it to play driving games.

I never understand the notion to put a current console in an arcade
cabinet. I must get around to making one.. I have the Jpac, screen
wires, buttons, computer and wood :-)
Well, I guess it would be a win if space is tight. BUT since the new
consoles also can double as media servers and/or have remotes that are
far better than then old-school joysticks for some games, it doesn't
make sense in my book at all to put any of them in a cabinet. The
"xbox+MOMO+driving cabinet" is because that would be a quick and dirty
way to have a great driving cab with good graphics.

I agree. I particularly like Outrun2 on a current PC/Xbox 360. It
would be nice to see that in an arcade cab :)
for that, I would use the PC in my current mame cab, with the barstool
steering stand.
If I built a dedicated driving cab I'd want to use a less expensive
solution like a used chipped xbox. Then I could play a driving game
that looks good on xbox and could play a sampling of the older mame
driving games.
