I think Dungeon Dave some time ago gave me a link to an excellent site
where you would have discriptions of the sorts of people you meet on
forums. It was comical in style and was illustrated with funny images.

Anyone here remember the site and have a URL?

We should petition the site op to have a Lob character... I can see it
now, a cartoon with someone made completely out of beer... Mmmm... :)

_Lob_:

A Flame Warrior whose postings appear to the uninitiated as random
collections of words with rather loose associations to arcade gaming,
Wheeties boxes and drinking beer - though not necessarily in that order.
However, upon closer consideration and careful interpretation, the Lob's
postings reveal a much deeper, almost divine, truth that few mere MAMERS can
aspire to truly appreciate.

Long after a.g.m. is but a distant memory from a by-gone era, it shall be
the Lob's postings that echo in the halls of history. Much like the
fully-anotated Fortran source code listing for the original Adventure, only
in hindsight shall the Lob's wisdom be imparted to the masses.

Lob's first flame war took place entirely within the high-score table of a
Defender machine in a local gas station in rural New Zealand. Only by
relentelessly honing his skills on the game could Lob earn the right to add
another 3 letters to his witty repetoire. Sadly, it was some years later
that Lob finally realised that he was the only one that ever played that
particular Defender cab (due in no small part to the amount of alcohol he
consumed between sessions, which caused him to forget he had ever played the
game), and he had been flaming himself all along.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, he was his own most formidable opponent
and his flaming skills grew ever stronger.

Woe betide anyone who dares parry with the Lob in a verbal joust on a.g.m.
Or at least, woe betide anyone not properly equipped with the appropriate
medication. In only a few words, the Lob can confound, confuse, daze and
stun even the most seasoned MAMERS, let-alone unwary noobs.

If one happlessly stumbles across the Lob in Real Life - DO NOT APPROACH!
Unless of course, you happen to be carrying a 6-pack or two. And even then,
be sure to take off your Ugg boots and refrain from making bleating sounds.
Finally, in case of extreme emergency, if all else seems hopeless,
whilstling the theme tune to "Bubble Bobble" can momentarily distract him.
