Does anybody know if any companies that manufacture the part kits for
cocktail cabinets which I can purchase and build. I'd like to get a nice
professional looking cocktail cab which I could install original cards and
mame in.
Cheers
Steve
Now reproducing a classic cocktail exactly would probably cost a lot more.
It would probably be more cost effective to find an empty one.

Look can we have an end to these pathetic adverts: "where can I find
bla bla bla" / "Just try www.gamewreckersinc.com/idiots.wnk
I'm sure you've invested a lot of time and effort and $20 to set your
company up and the phone is silent, your email box is empty apart from
spam asking you to cum visit Veronica's Animal Farm. And you've only
managed to sell 1 cabinet plan to someone of borderline intelligence
(billy), and 3 arcade buttons to the Russians so they can update their
nuclear reactors. Just take a deep breath, and several bottles of
beer, and think of another business that actually has a market and
actually might want a product your feeble mind and shoddy "building
skills" could produce. Look, on refelection, begging isn't all that
bad after all. If you learn a musical instrument, then, technically,
it's called busking. Just go back to your old "job" and leave this
arcade stuff to us professionals.
(I'd busk too, but I can't sing, and a fricken piano is hard to carry
around the streets of Sydney.)

I'm not finished yet....
Hey it's interesting that you morons sell a cocktail cabinet for
$2795.00.
http://www.gamecabinetsinc.com/info.htm
While OzStick are releasing a cocktail early next year (the following
is taken from their website:):
"Pricing
Cost of the cabinet is yet to be finalised, but preliminary prices
are:
$1300AUD for a 'turnkey' cabinet, which includes a fully configured
PC, 17" monitor and controllers attached. All you need to do it switch
it on, insert your own ROMs CD and you are ready to play.
$1100AUD for the same as above but without the PC included.
GST is included in these prices, but please note that they may change
slightly leading up to release.
Shipping will be extra. We will pursue quotes for delivery from
courier/freight companies once we determine the final weight and
dimensions of the cabinets. International customers please note that
we may not offer our cabinets for sale outside Australia due to the
prohibitive shipping costs, but we are undecided about this so please
contact us if you are interested."
btw $1300 AUD = about $650 US.
Sure, your cabinet has a few extra features such as the glass top.
Still, one gets the feeling your a fucking ripp off merchant...
TO SUMMARIZE:
- OzStick - can sell a profitable cocktail machine for $650 US (And
don't say it has anything to do with the exchange rate. All the major
parts [PC, controls, even timber, etc] are generally twice as
expensive in Australia compared to the US.)
- GameCabinetsSuck - can sell a profitable cocktail machine for $2750
US. Very profitable, assuming that they can actually manage to sell
them. Oh yeah, I see from their website that they've already sold some
to someone called "Michale H.": "Absolutely AWESOME cocktail machine!
Excellent support. Highly recommended!" And Dan M.: "WOW, what a great
cabinet! Easy to use and very high quality!! I love having all my
favorite games on one cocktail machine."
Hmmmmmmm....interesting
lob
btw David/Steve/etc REAL people don't talk or write like this. People
you invent to help sell your pathetically overpriced crap might
though...
lob
..and it's Michael NOT Michale. Idiot.
lob
Wow...that's pretty sweet!

Hi Kyle,
To bad on the Dig Dug monitor ;P I was wondering how you were
doing on the ATARI mini and Donkey Kong plans as your post a while back
mentioned you had been traveling a lot. I know the DK plans were looking
totally awesome but I don't recall their level of completion. Any chance
on a set of plans for any of the newer big cabinets that fit a 25"
monitor and huge control panel for us MAME guys anytime in the future?
Thanks for all the work you do for all of us!

Ah, crap. Sorry to hear that, man.
Glad to see you're out and about.
How'd that last whse run go, anyway? I seem to remember you saying you
were going for another big one, soon.
On Saturday I picked up a few games from my local vendor. 2 video
slots, 1 was missing CPU board ($100 each)w/dollar bill acceptors.
Indiana Jones vid for $75, a scorpion dartboard for $350 and they gave
me a free game, Vigilante. Basically my friend took the IJ and
dartboard. I have another guy is coming up for the video slots.
Basically I used my trailer and got a free game....Great vendor. As
far as what I paid for the games is what sold them for. Not a penny
for me. Usually I want $20 per game (cheap) for the hassle of using my
cash flow and hauling the stuff. I have another lead on a vendor I
will get a hold of in Jan. if its not too cold and snowy.
For Chirst soldiers: I did a quick layout for a guy of a cabinet I
have for a 25 inch monitor. If you are interested I can get you the
general dimensions. Never really planed to make a set of plans for one
buy maybe after the mini plans.
