Ok. I have a question here. Does Mame work correctly on windows 7
boxes? Someone I know has recently upgraded to a windows 7 box and
hasn't gotten around to trying his mame set yet. Is he going to have
trouble getting it to work on a 64 bit windows 7 box?

I'm currently running MameUI64 on Windows7 with no problems that I
know of. ... At least not yet!

I'm using MAME .133 running Windows 7 64 bit. Most of the games I
wanted to play either weren't recognized, or had an error saying there
was a file missing with new MAME versions.

That's not related to Windows7, it's related to the fact that you did
not update your romsets to your used MAME version.

MAME version and rom set version must match to play all games. Still if
they not match many games should work. But the bigger the differences
with the version's number the less games will work.
