I was reading a post where someone was purporting to be Ukrainian and
claimed she was attending a family Thanksgiving and that they had a samovar
at the table

first ukrainians don't celebrate thanksgiving
next, they don't have samovars, they have chaynkis, and those are
pretty ungilded and unfancy
finally there is a holy day in august that you should know about if
you are christian that has something or other to do with thanksgiving
and or sukkoth as the case may be

it's not statistical anomaly that you see if you note 2 people having
prosopagnosia. they are the same peoeple writing
from different accounts.
this is so entirely not a big deal. i used to remember every single
face but since losing vision i cannot remember any faces at all.
it;s a chore.
Extreme appearance has many causes. othrewise you would have to say
all rock and rollers, punk rockers and every rebellious kid has a
disorder when all they are doing is experimenting.
some people just like color and will as long as they are alive.
clothes are an extension of that love
you are probably just a bird, because they like looking at their own
reflection.
but seriously throughout my life i felt i was grotesque yet i could
recognize faces
i cannot recognize faces but i also cannot see myself well enough in
a mirror to condemn myself so i have other ways of deciding i am
gross looking
i am not sure how you could fall in love with joe isuzu if any of
this was anything but more bullshit
