Electronic Arts/Ultima Online purchased LoK and found it to be a competitor
(duh!). LoK is shut down and from what we understand will NOT be brought
back (many have tried). BUT keep the faith! Realms of Legend has been in
design for some time and is alive and well. As I understand it, the beta is
near. It is being designed by folks who knew and loved LoK. The new game
has a great deal of involvement by the LORDS guild, which any that remember
LoK, will remember the LORDS love for LoK. Other well know former LoK fans
(such as Treyner) names will be found as you navigate the new site. While
RoL isn't LoK (perhaps better or worse, time will tell) it will certainly
be the closest thing to it perhaps ever again. It will certainly seem
comfortable to a greater degree than anything else out there. Do yourself a
favor and check out realmsoflegend.net The site is currently down which is
a very rare instance. I suspect it back at any moment. There are message
boards there, a decent (but intentionally not overly detailed) FAQ, and you
can find info on the message boards for mIRC RoL chat and the RoL
Conference Room which was recently taken down to be up graded. But the mIRC
chat and message boards are alive and well currently. And welcome home :) I
have a feeling we'll be feeling the grass of Legend under out toes again

You mean Shu is alive?? And Omega Amon Ra? My Nigga's! Bleh Treyner
sucked! }:-) We should buy LOK from EA. I have already send EA a letter
asking for the PA to buy it and didn't get a responce.

They won't sell, something about the code. They don't wanna give it up. It's been
tried :) Some of the guys who wanted it had some big bucks too, EA wasn't
interested. RoL isn't far from being done anyway. If these things are really ever
done. It will be available to play anyway :) The web site is having a server
problem I hear and will be back up sooner or later. If you have mIRC you can join
the chat which is usually going good around 8 PM eastern. irc.superlink.net room
