I'm not sure exactly when MotS takes place, but LucasArts said the movies
would be rendered scenes instead of FMV or whatever. Maybe they are just
showing the battle at Bespin between Luke and Darth. Or, as someone said
before, a multiplayer skin. Either are equally cool.

They are including skins for Vader and Luke, but Vader will not be in
single player game (don't know about Luke). The story takes place a
little after JK which takes place a while after Return of the Jedi.

MOTS is set to take place 5 years after JK, according to the LucasArts
site.

Yeah, you're light Kyle (wondering when the DS expansion is coming out....)
and Mara Jade has to save Kyle from the evil force beneath the temple.
I though it would have been cool to have you be Dark Kyle, set out for the
Jedi Temple of the Sith, have Mara Jade eventually follow you there and
there is a duel to the death in the very bowels of the temple. Oh, well....

I always thought the expansion pack was just going to tell the tale of what
happens to "Dark Kyle" and finish that off so that when Jedi Knight II
begins production they can start a clean slate off with "Light Kyle"
Isn't that right? or do i need to stop and count to 10? :)

Well, we never really know for sure what Mara does between ROTJ and when
she actually appears in the novels. She *could* have saved Kyle.

Well, she didn't get the force back with her until after the Heir to the Empire
series began. She has some Force powers in the series, but mainly it comes back
slowly. I think it takes place while she's attempting to run her own company,
being "groomed" by Karde for her eventual run of the business.Also, though the
Emperor's Hand, she's on the Light Side. Besides, if LucasArts wanted Dark
characters, why inflict penalties for using Dark powers on Mana (As I've read
they're doing) and other things?
I think, though it could be Dark Kyle, it's light (After all, he IS working with
Rebels against the Empire still, and Luke was in Black during ROTJ). As for the
lightsaber, it's Yun's or he made it himself (Both on the Light Path).
Still, it would be awesome if Kyle was Dark Emperor ;-)

If you look at the novels again you will realise, that although she
was once the Emperor's Hand, that was before ROTJ. She is eventually
won over by Luke and so is turned from the dark path. And while I
would not consider her a true Light Jedi either (she is a leader in a
smugglers ring after all), she does do a lot to help Luke and the New
Republic's cause. MOTS probably would take place during this
transition period for her.
