I used to like Interplay until last weekend. That's right folks, I'm
talking about the weekend of E3. When all the other booths were open,
Interplay closed their booth to the public on Friday. How is it that a
company that is "For Gamers" can block them from their booth at the
largest trade show in the industry? You have to understand, they
blocked off the ENTIRE booth. It's fine to have a media and invention
only to show early games but they didn't do it like everyone else (in
the back behind closed doors). I am very offended because I was looking
forward to seeing and playing all the new games like Messiah, EWJ64,
Wild 9's and the like.

They hurt themselves because I am the senior buyer for my stores and
after they blocked me out, I lost respect for the company and will never
buy another Interplay game for my store or my home. I will also be sure
to let everyone know the reason for the lack of Interplay products on my
selves. Maybe they should change the slogan from "By Gamers, For
Gamers" to "By Suits, For the All Mighty Dollar".

This is the 2nd year that I have heard several media and attendees express
discontent because they weren't allowed into the booth.

I did go in for some interviews and it was like a country club. Food, cake,
bar, and the whole works. I think you need to have an appointment and have
an agenda. E3 is not for gamers unfortunatley it is for buyers(Like
yourself) and barely for media.

Hi Skinnee,

This is the second year Interplay has had a closed booth, I believe.
In the future, just call your sales rep and they'll get you an
appointment to come in and have the games demo'd for you. I'm sorry
you felt singled out. :(

When it comes to LA what days is it going to be blocked out so I know
when not to goto your booth. I hope someone is doing a uberfest.

I don't know what the schedule is for next year's E3 unfortunately - I
won't know until March-April of next year! ;) At least I'll be able
to go to that one. :P I missed the Atlanta shows.
