I've finally gotten hold of Icewind Dale.
Anything I should be aware of? Any "must" classes or races?
In Icewind Dale only a Bard could do certain Adventures, for example.
Any must mods?

A Figher is always good, but while a Fighter/Thief can use any bow or
crossbow and gets enough skill points to be as good of a thief as you need
(and therefore better than a straight thief) a F/T gets fewer HP than it
should. I'd think about a Ranger, but you'd get no find and disarm trap
skills, although a Cleric can find them. I never tried a Ranger/Thief.
Druids get some very nice offensive spells including summoning
elementals, but no resurect abilities.
Clerics are very weak in terms of offensive spells and get few HP, but
get good healing and resurect spells
You will need fire spells from a Mage or other magic user (and a
Mage's fireballs and Magic Missle spells are SO nice) or you will need a lot
of fire potions.
