Opposing Force keeps crashing

Opposing Force keeps crashing during various 'loading' pauses, with the
message
'MOD_NUMKNOWN==MAX_MODELS'
I've just re-started the game every time and the next re-load doesn't
crash - until now that is.
I've reached a point where it crashses EVERY time and chucks me out to the
desktop.
Anyone know how to fix this, any command line entries etc?

Did you installed the 1.0.1.5 patch, OpFor needs this patch, try also to
apply patch 1.0.0.1 for Opfor, you will find it at Sierra web site.

The only way to fix this is too aply the 1.0.1.5 patch that came on your
Opposing Forces CD (you do have one right? :) ). The installation should
have automatically done it for you.

I have found that while OpFor will run in 32 bit color, it becomes very
unstable. So, (if applicable) try changing your desktop color scheme to 16 bit
color.
