bind x dropitems
Or easier yet, you could've just opened your config.cfg to find the key to
which you had rebound it.
You make it sound like you've had a great deal of experience playing the
original Quake TF. Surely you knew, then, that this ws the command for that
game, as well? Did you even *try* it?

dropitems;wait;discard;wait;feign....
very convincing...you will drop the flags, an ammo pack and "die" not many
people see thru it...then you jump up...and run out with the flag!

yep it does, but the trick is not to let the pack land too close like
some of those feign aliases that lookdown before discarding. you simply
pick it back up again while feigning - a dead give away.
a spy pack will get thrown far away after a rocket or grenade death
otherwise it will be close by.
for all you potential spy catchers out there:
a spy doing this will release a pack then appear to die since you
can't discard while feigning. a proper death has the pack appearing
*after* dying.
*any* dead body you come across should be given your attention. a
grenade or mirv spam should just leave gibs behind and on a busy server,
body placements do not last very long. stand on or close enough so they
can't get up if they are a spy and fire a shot at the body. if you see
blood then just finish them off in your own time.

Looking back at the original post, why don't people ever think of using the menu
system to reconfigure their controls. This isn't TF you know. From their you can
change all the binds you need to (apart from detpack longer than five seconds and
that spy drop flag+drop unused ammo+feign death trick)

I don't think I fall for this one that often...Especially not
when the person is dressed as a spy. Maybe if they are disguised as
something else, but in any case I _always_ look at the upper right hand
corner of a screen to confirm a kill. The bodies mean nothing. (Plus it's
neat to see when you drop an EMP in a crowded area then get 3 kills at
once =)

Oh yes :) Last night on the fortsaken map there were quite a few AsS's
(Fucker, [AH]Chaser amongst others) and 3 of the enemy came over as soldiers
just under our flag. Myself and another engy were overwhelmed and as I took
the hits I dropped as many grenades as I could. Just as I repsawned up came
3 kills by EMP shortly followed by some mutterings from the now dead
soldiers :)
Managed to get a screenshot of it, for a change and found one from an
earlier game where SpeedyCougar did the same thing on 2fort :)
EMP's rule :)
Oiy don't tell em..
That wasn't us.. ;)

Actually if you hit the "c" key you will drop the flag or key. This
works great as a tactic on the well. Get a soldier up by the flag room
have him get thet flag and then go down to the balcony and throw it
out the front window to a waiting teammate. Then he can go back up
and continue this until the other team figures it out.
