What the hell is with this mission??? I cannot pass it. I ignore killing
the girl and straight away jump on the bike. I shoot down the street to
intercept 'Jayvon' and I either have to completely hit the brakes to avoid
traffic, or I try to veer around traffic and end up going over the
handlebars after hitting a vehicle!!! How the hell do you catch up to this
guy, let alone kill him?????? HELP!!!! Jeez, I heard so much whining about
SA's 'Life's a Beach' mission, which I thought was easy, but this mission???
What the hell????

Try the mission in the middle of the night, traffic is lighter then. If the
motorcycles are giving you fits, make sure you are not trying to shoot at
him and maneuver through traffic at the same time. Wait for the straight on
opportunities, you should have plenty of time to plink him off the bike.
Not shooting the girl opens up opportunities later, another reason to
ignore her. Speaking of later, there's another motorcycle mission later on
you aren't going to like if this one is hanging you up.

I've done it a few times and if I remember rightly (I HATE bike
missions) this one is a case of remaining relaxed, don't panic too
much and eventually he virtually gives himself to you. I noticed this
with a few other chases, that it was almost suicidal to try and take
the targets early, just follow and wait.

Having said that there was one later mission where I took a random
shot at a pickup I was chasing almost immediately, trying to get a
target fix, and the thing blew apart :O))

Just drive safely and follow him. Eventually he'll start driving around in a
short loop, - so just get off/out and shoot him when he comes around for
another lap.
Also, you don't have to chase him on a bike, you can jack a car and use that
if you prefer.

Thanks to GMpartsguy (my father worked at the GM plant in Van Nuys until he
retired in 91) And thanks to Paul. I used both your guys' strategies.. I
got D's money and am now supposed to meet him in at a Cluckin Bell's in
*Times Square*, but I reached the green marker and there's nothing.... I'm
afraid I'm going to have to do this mission over because I think a glitch
happened. Either way, Thanks for the advice, it was great!!!

Glad to have helped Buckaroo. My GMpartsguy screenname is from the early
90's, and actually quite outdated these days. I haven't been a GM parts guy
since 1999 (i'm east coast, New England). I've just never gotten around to
changing my newsgroup identity.

These days i work on cars for a living. I do some specialized consulting,
diagnosis, and installations for Ford dealers in our area. Odd stuff like
water leaks and electrical gremlins that technicians can't solve get sent to
our facility.
I also found out i'm very good with automotive glass replacement as well
the past couple years, and have a budding reputation from the luxury import
crowd. That's an honor. If you had told me i'd be working on BMW, Mercedes,
Audi (and all it's cousins), Lexus, even the occasional Corvette 10 years
ago, i would have laughed.
And when i'm not doing that, i'm installing audio, visual, and navigation
products. Plus toss in the occasional strobe/ wig-wag job for municipalities
or firefighters.

Much more diversity than slinging parts, my work week goes by quicker, i
answer to far fewer people, i make better $$, and that makes me happier than
Bob in those friggin Enzyte commercials. ;)

Sorry for the ramble. I'm one of the few that love my job.

Not a problem... My father worked 'repair' which was basically working in
the 'backyard' fixing things that went wrong with the cars once they were
off the line... did you work at the Van Nuys plant at some point? It's a
shopping center now, they tore down the whole plant...

While i am a native Californian, i've lived in New England most of my life.
I was a parts "consultant" (see: parts slinger), and manager. I've done a
few other car makes too. Finally got sick of dealing with hordes of
assholes, clueless salesmen, and disconnected management that restricted my
ability to grow.

So no, i've never knowingly been to Van Nuys Buckaroo. ;)

Ah, so either you're a fan of the original, or just hate the series
outright? I must confess... the first I heard of "The Office" was the
American version, and I didn't like it at first... but it grew on me...
which actually got me to be a fan of "Coupling"... which I now love!!! I
love Jeff!!!! "I've got too many legs!!!"

A) I hate the Office with a vengeance. Not really my scene, but the
arrogance of Ricky afterwards, and that awful Simpsons promotion when
he was on it was just too much.

No, the Michael Scott thing is actually aimed at a real person of that
name who is a dickhead :O)
