Hi, I just got FST, and I was wondering if anyone knows why I can't load
.fsd files in the shapes editor? I created a building complete with windows
and an antenna, but I can't load it up, though the file does exist in my
project folder... can anyone help me on this?

(Is this newsgroup even active...?)

I don't think that this newsgroup is very active,
there hasn't been much on here and yours is the
first FST related posting I've seen.
Perhaps it's something with us being north of the border?

As to your problem, I can't help you there but
if I think of anything, I'll let you know.

I've been looking for FST, with no success.
Did you get an old copy or is there a new
release out?

Good luck with your shape files...

Paul.

I'll need more detail, but in general, you can only use the tools with the
currently selected project--it sounds like you haven't set the"Load Project"
option in Project Manager to the project folder that has your building in
it. By default, the tools are set to operate with the "Project" folder.

Drag and Drop doesn't work with FST Project or the tools either (at least
for me).

This newsgroup is forgotten and ignored as the general discussion area for
FST. Most (if not all) traffic now goes to the developer's mail
list--specifcs escape me for the moment, and if I took the time to look it
up I'd never get around to writing this reply--go to MegWeb for the details.

I think this newsgroup should be much more active and carry the general FST
discourse, especially for newbies.

I think all that's available retail is a few WWII sim CD's. But with
diligence and some hand assembly (*not* the programming type), you can grab
it off the Web for free.

A new release has been in the works since '97, but you have to realize that
you can only go so far with a DOS-based technology.

Go to www.onelist.com and subscribe to the FST mailing list for good info
and people who are actively involved.
