I use an Acer Iconia W500 which I picked up as refurb for $350. It comes
with Windows 7 installed but I installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview which
works great and runs DM Genie just fine. I can even run Baldur's Gate 2
while I am waiting for my turn to roll some dice - (not perfect with touch
screen but hopefully new Extended version coming this summer will work
better)! and any other Windows software like Office, etc.
In addition, I have it set up to dual boot Android Ice Cream Sandwich
which you can download from
android-x86.org. It works pretty well except
for some flashing due to video drivers and no full video watching support
but everything else seems to work quite well. Development is still
ongoing but it the dev team has been squashing most of the bugs.
