ETA for the german SMAC patch?

Maybe they should release 3.0 for all versions at the same time - why work
on a European 2.0, then US 3.0, and European 3.0 again?

So you want them to waste time making a euro 2.0 patch instead of
working up the 3.0 patch for the US/english version so they can get to
work on the rest of the versions ASAP?

I share your problem....but it is not only with SMAC, but with nearly
every game....We usually pay more than the US equivalent (ok, there's
the translation to be done and to be paid as well) but we get less: -->
less support, less goodies (such as the map which comes with Baldur's
Gate...it is missing in the german version...) This would not be a
problem if the companies would let us buy the US versions here as well,
but no, they only let us buy the "official" versions for this region....

you don't mean that serious, do you ?
just imagine it would be the other way, and the euro patch would be at 3.0
and you would still have to wait for the first patch - and have no
possibility to play over the net !!
And have to pay more for the game itself...

think about it AGAIN...
