Quick question about the Sid's Alpha Centauri ADM notation - obviously the 3
values are Attack, Defense, and Movement, but I see other notations, such as
the attack in (parentheses), or an exclamation following it, stars in the
movement, etc....for example, in the instruction booklet they show a unit
with an ADM rating of (24!)-12-2*4 and I can't find anywhere that describes
what all this other notation is. Can someone summarize the "other"
notations for me?

The explanation for that particular unit that you are referring to would
be like this:

( ) = Artillery unit
! = Blink (ignores base defenses)
* = Reactor level (in this case 4, a singular reactor, the highest
type)

Other notations include (though I don愒 remember all of them!):

~ = Amphibious (A Marine, can attack land squares from a transport)
e = Empath (Bonus when attacking mind worms, spore launchers etc.)
^ = Drop (Paradropping unit)
<> = (When enveloping the Defense value) AAA (+100% defending against
aircraft)
<> = (When enveloping the Attack value) SAM (Can attack aircraft)
t = Trance (Bonus when defending against mind worms etc.)
r = Resonance (Normal weapon + Bonus when attacking mindworms etc.)
x = Nerve gas (+50% offense)

Well, those are the ones I remember from the top of my head. I惴 sure
I扉e missed some, but those惻l get you started.

HTH,
Jonathan
