(FFX-2) How To Beat Yunalesca?

Okay brainiacs...
I'm all the way to Level 80 in the Via Infinito. I have the Cat Nip/Haste Bracer/Trigger Lvl. 3 ... and that's gotten me through pretty much the whole level. But when you get to Level 80 and go save, Yuna gets all her HP back, and the Cat Nip pretty much is useless.
So she's giving me a pounding now... any tips/tactics on how I can get past this wicked witch???

There are two items you can equip that'll lower your HP. It's been
discussed a number of times before, so you can google-search it to find
out which they are (I don't recall the item names of the top of my
head). You don't get the HP back when you un-equip the items, so that
should leave your HP down in the "dangerzone", thus giving you the
ability to take advantage of the cat-nip...

After you've saved, equip the person you want to use catnip with the
Wring and bloodlust accessories. That'll shave of a whole lot of HP.
Then re-equip the accessories you want her to have (catnip + whatever
else), and her HP should remain low...

HAHAHAHAHA!!! The damn Lady Y. Sorry. ;-)
Believe it or don't, lady Yunalesca is one of the *easiest* bosses to hurt
badly. Why? Simply because she has the characteristic that any time you hit
her... she STOPS her attacks and has to restart them again. So, just get
your lovely girls dressed as thieves and go for a continuos chain of combos
just attacking. You need to time their attacks in the proper way. Which
means that you make one girl attacking, and the others waiting until the
first actually hit the beast. As soon as you hear the blades slashing, press
X to attack with the 2nd girl, and the 3rd waiting. The first girl will
reload its gauge. Once the second slashed, press X for the 3rd, with the
first waiting (she may get the gauge full just before the 3rd girl slashes
the boss). Keep following this rule. You will get a chain attack with combos
that will smash Lady Yunalesca in less than 3 minutes. In case you miss one
attack, and you get petrified, just use softs on the petrified girl, and
keep attacking with the last one. You'll get into the loop again. Forget
about cat-nip and any other strategy. You'd find yourself into a nightmare.

yunalesca first version:- Firstly, begin with rikku, auron and wakka. rikku should have a targe armour with SOS haste. Then hastega all of them. Then reflect or star curtain all of them. ( you can get reflect on sphere grid or the star curtain from dark flan in mt. gazaget steal em.... Also, the easiest way to capture dark flan in mt.gazaget for the monster arena is by using fire gems with rikku when you get the end of up just capture him. then you'll get the shining gems x60 in the monster arena for all the captures in mt. gazaget - shining gems effectively takes off 5000/6000 hp on elsca!) Then (back to elsca), use shining gem with rikku on yunalesca with rikku specials. ( use x4 to defeat elsca and by pass a go for the other characters by pressing triangle button to bypass wakka and auron). Just before you get to defeating the 1st yunalesca with shining gems x4 , make sure everyone has high hp's and they all have hastega reflect and full hps - every character I.e. lulu /yunas etc. Then defeat the 1st elsca. Finish! :)
yunalesca second version:-
Stay in zombie for the characters. Then get the others with zombie and then get back to original parties of rikku, auron and wakka. in the meanwhile fight with shining gems by rikku specials. If rikku dies, have someone revive her and use the reflect/star curtain. By the time your using x4/5 shining gem to give to elsca, make sure all characters have a high hp and zombie, then defeat her. finish!! :) :)
yunalesca third version:-
yunas overdrive aeons ( if yuna got her overdrive, use overdrives for the most powerful aeon, hopefully you'll get to use his overdrive twice!) Then use all the aeons overdrive as quickly as you can. Then rikkus repeatedly uses shining gems And the characters overdrives if you want (but technically you shouldn't need them) when elsca has regen you can try dispel until you beat her (you don't technically need it but it's there). finish!!! :) :) :)
I'm glad that I beat her. it's a wicked strategy to use.... pass it on ;)
