Yeah, you have to have a party consiting of GoGo, Umaru, Leo, and Afkek,
when your near death and have your limit breaks up a party coinsiting of
Aerith, Tellah, Sub Zero, and Cid (From FF1) will attack from the other
side, killing it. After winning Aerith, Tellah and Cid will join, Sub
Zero will go back to the veldt where you can learn his rages. Then you
will be able to enter the Imperial Fortress and get Kefka and Gesthal to
join you. This also lets you get the true ending, revive Aerith in FF7,
get the secret Paladin Class in FF5, lets you be able to fly, gives you
x-ray vision, and nothing cuz you can't do it.

Just some interesting point. This is an undefeatable scenario boss (not
really a boss.. an obstacle, I guess).. but has anyone actually tried very
very hard to beat it?

The reason I bring this up is...

1) Tales of Destiny: There is also an undefeatable scenario boss in
ToD.. however, this boss's HP is limited. (10,000 or so.. of course,
that's a LOT of damage you have to inflict when you're only about Lv. 15)
But, with memory card cheat, you can start your game with later saved
game's data.. so you could easily defeat this boss with your Lv. 60
characters. Then, the game goes on a fake ending.. basically it's game
over right there. But this boss isn't technically undefeatable, even if
you have to lose in order to progress.

2) Dragon Quest 6: There is one in this game also, late in the game.
However, through a trick (which I'm not sure if it's FWAK or not.. but
obviously some people defeated this boss, so.. *shrug*) you CAN beat this
boss too.. of course, the game progresses like you lost anyway.

So.. with maybe Game Genie codes or something similar, can you get your
Lv. 99 characters to try and beat the Guardian in FF3/6j?

The problem is that all physical, and, as far as I've tried, magical attacks
do no damage whatsoever upon the damned things. Even Ultima doesn't even dent
its chassis...

I've tried, and that durn thing seems as near invincible as can exist in a
game. All attacks known to man do 0 damage to it, and it's one of the VERY
few enemies in the game that can't Vanish (in order to Vanish/Doom).

I have another theory to tack onto your list, which is that Lavos in the
Ocean Palace at CT is actually meant to be an unbeatable guardian. Of
course, you can easily beat it with New Game+, but the fact that it doesn't
have a distinct ending when you defeat it at the Ocean Palace makes it
questionable that you should be able to defeat it at all. Instead of its
own ending, it reverts to the Programmers' Ending, almost a default ending
of sorts (the first ending you can possibly see, assuming the "complete"
ending and its variations are left to the end). And the Programmers' Ending
DOES make a bit of a deal about how you completed the game in record time,
and this is your prize for speeding through.

Just a thought,

Dan.

I'd tell you, but you'd have to revive Tellah and Aerith. And then e-mail
NeoAtma how to get Gen. Leo (runs into the bushes)

Interesting that a machine created by magic is more powerful than Kefka,
the concentration of all magic in the universe. Heck, Kefka should have
just had Guardian brought in and had it sit there in his tower. Then he
could say, "You sound like chapters out of a self-help booklet! Take this!"
and had Guardian come and whip your pitiful arses.

IIRC correctly you actually did have to fight and defeat the guardian in
Kefka's tower, It's been a while though, and I might be wrong.

There was a Guardian in Kefka's Tower. However, the foolish thing goes into
Attack Mode, which makes it lose its invulnerability. :P

It's Ultros mode is pretty funny, though... not to mention strong.

Actually, no. If you go to Cornia after you have gotten promoted, you

There was if you named one of your characters Cid...

You know, for some reason this reminds me of the Invisible Singer from
"The Three Amigos." Don't ask why, since I probably can't tell you.

Anyways... I thought he was in one of the rooms in Corneria castle
that doesn't have anyone else in it. Just a big, square room. Well,
with an invisible guy in it, that is.

Which brings up another point. How do you even know you're talking to
an invisible guy? How do you know that your character doesn't just
happen to start talking to himself? I mean... four adventurers
travelling together must get pretty sick of each other, after a while.
I know *I'd* start talking to myself, just to have some variation in
company. Or I'd talk to my figgin, anyways.
