Censorship in the US with FF8

Hello fellow FF fans.

I have a question for those who played non-US versions of the game.
When you do the devour ability, what does it look like? The US version
that I have is censored. It is that disturbing?

This Question is for the US-Players. Is there anyway known to turn off
the censoring so I can see the devour ability in it's full use. It is
very distracting to attempt to use it, and then be suddenly looking at
some stupid censored screen.

The whole censored thing is a joke. It was always censored, and always will
be (well, probably, I just said that to sound cool)

When you get further on into the game (the Eden GF) there is a battle
command ability called devour. Whenever I used this ability I would see
those censor screens. These screens are of some green fields (still
shot) with a censored banner running across it. If this is supposed to
be like this (as in squaresoft did it on purpose) then my quest can
end. But until I hear otherwise I am damn curious as to what was
actually happening (animation wise) when you use this ability. If
someone could post some screen shots, I would appreciate it.
