(Question) Dio's Autograph?

Arena in Gold Saucer. I thought that you got GOOD items after those battles
(ie, Final Attack). I got that, but is there anything else I should fight for?

Yep. You get the autograph, then a book, then the sequel to the book,
then the prizes repeat. (I know one book is "The Gambler".) I have found
no uses for these in play or in a FAQ. They are three of the many items
you can get in the gold saucer that are functionally useless.

If only I had a quid for every time someone asked about this...
Once you've got Final Attack, all you get are worthless items from Dio (e.g.
his autograph, his diary, etc...). Once you've got Final Attack I recommend you
just stop because that's the only thing of any value you'll get there. Unless
of course you still want to play it because it's kinda fun - you can give
yourself challenges and then not worry about dying.

What about it? To even think about getting Final Attack, you've got to
already have Omnislash, and Cloud must have learned it. Once you've got
Final Attack, there's nothing more to be collected from Battle Square
(unless you've completely forgotten to talk to the girl outside the steps
to Battle Square even once....)

Uh, nope. You get Omnislash from the regular battles in the Battle Square. You
have to have it before you can even get into the Special Battle...

Only reason you would have got them if you were morphing all the monsters
you came across. And since you can get nothing from morphing them that
you can't get anywhere else, my point stands.

> You're dead wrong on that. I got omni-slash on disk 1. Took me like 5-6 hrs but I got it. If you've got a decent level (35-ish) and a few other helpful materia (counter being one of them), then you can totally get omni-slash on disk 1
