Well I don't really do much in AGFFR, a few fics regarding the regs and

Well, I'm a guy. Duh, I guess. I love video games, and RPGs too. I play lots

Me? I program stuff. As soon as I get the PC versions of the FFs, I ...play
them. Of course I do. But then I start dismantling them. Using my reliable
toolkit (hex editor, VC++ and lots of disk space), I decompile data files,
examine save files, disassemble exe files... you name it. From all this,
many useful utilities are born (or at least I hope so). This sounds about as
pathetic as real life can get, but I assure you, programming stuff isn't all
that I do. I draw; either real-life pencil drawings or computer art, and
play the piano, mostly my very own imported Uematsu/Mitsuda music scores
*drool*. And that ain't all of the FF in my life... on my finger is a
certain ring... ;) Girlfriend? *laughter* Go figure. (to the low-IQ ones;

You know a while I posted how I hate America. But onlooking to our society
here in the UK, were not too far off. The uk is becoming just as violent as
the USA, and it won't be long till the rest of Europe become just as
corrupt. "But we have our laws" you say, but that doesn't chnage anything.
Who creates those laws? Who is it that causes mistakes but also tries to
rectify them? Governement. The main problem is humans, their desire for
something greater than what they already have. We are happy with something
for a short while, but a month later we desire more. This is technology and
culture. We weren't happy to just live in caves, so we make huts. From a
chain of events were overpopulated and living tightly in houses, flats, sky
scrapers. That is, those among us who have homes. We destroy lives and the
environment for our gain, and that makes us corrupt. "Where's the point of
this post" your thinking? It's my outlook on life, since I've been through a
lot, more than most in this NG. But apart from that, our society is slowly
declining, becoming like America. But it isnt a mere comparrison. America is
a society that has adapted to it's technology changes, some good things,
some bad things. It is mostly the latter. We are getting the same
technology, the same adaptations in life as America, and slowly our
societies become the same. The manual labour is being overtaken by machines,
more jobs are lost and we end up unemployed and sometimes going to extremes
of drugs and theft to live, or just for the thrill. The government say
they're doing plenty to help, but is this true? In a recent news bulletin,
they said we would be able to be buried in space/on the moon. If this isn't
a bad case of human desire for something greater, something "new" I dont
know what is. Are we tired of burying graves in the ground, so lets ship
them off into space? "Honey Im seeing my mothers grave - I'll be back in a
year". How stupid can we get. Do we need windows 2000? Whats the difference
between that and win 95? It's an extreme example as to how greedy and stupid
humans are. Instead of burying us in space and sending useless rockets
through the atmosphere - the ozone layer, making it worse. We could spend
that money for better. Instead of advancing too far, why not take a hard
look at our current society? The millions spent on spacetravel could easily
be spent on houses for the homeless, food for those in third world countrys.
We are abandoning the needy for ourselves - this is the cruel ways of
humans. I know many is spent to help the homeless and other countries, but
is it enough? Why is there so much poverty? Why is there still suffering?
This is what FF7 was teaching us, humans move to one place, live there,
destroy it, and move on to destroy more. Were using the planets resources to
feed ourselves with money. If the planet were alive, would it want us to
live on it? Destroying, pollouting it? We murder our own kind for selfish
desire - I would say it was "inhuman" but the fact is its "too human".
Instead of looking into the future as to what we can change, why not look at
the present?. Do we civilians have the control were said to have?
Experiments for cloning, a BSE disease, all held behind our backs, and only
when the media get hold on it we find out about it. Yes we might've found
out a sheep was cloned. But what about the others that had to die, be
mistreated just for it be a success? Whats being cloned right now? Whats
being created right now? We all watch the movies, play games and see society
in that way and not realise were living that society, a place where we are
walking around clueless of whats going on, were suffering to the government,
or as FF7 called them, the "Shinra". The world is changing too fast, and the
changes are innecessary. Albeit medicine and vaccines can be created by
advancements of technology, but how many diseases have we caused? We created
our own nemesis "cancer" we created poverty, we created BSE, we create
devestation. And those in life who want society to change for te better are
saw as fools, Martin Luther King for example, he pioneered more than just
freedom for blacks, but a new society. HE was killed for it. Why cant we
step down and see whats happening? Whats more importnat - a buriel in space,
or homes for the homeless? We dont need the jokers in government who want
better for them and couldnt care less about those involved around them. Such
is the message that FF7 taught us. Humans will start war, humans will make
peace, humans will cause suffering.

So here we are, another term of AGFFR. Postings a little low, but some
inncoent, really nice reg accidently started a "semi flame war" during this
time. Everythings calming down, maybe too calm. The IRC room has had the
most amount of people - ever on 15th of this month. And it seems Johannes
*WASN'T* killed by a wild wombat and forgot to tell us - he's having server
probs. There's not much more...except Sweden didnt win the Eurovision!
