I have received this from Cid and have it upgraded, but I don't exactly know
what it does. Can someone explain it for me? Thanks in advance. Vincent

Nothing practical, really. It just tells you how many battles you've gotten
in, how many steps you've walked, stuff like that. With one upgrade, it'll
tell you how many times Squall and his companions have killed / been killed
by stuff. With two upgrades, you get the same information for your GFs.
About the only practical use I can think of for it is that you can figure
out which of your characters will have the easiest time with Tonberries.
Also note that you can get the information for Squall and Quistis without
the battle meter.

You've got to beat the CC group Joker. He can be found in the Balamb Garden
(but he appears randomly). He also has the Leviathan card so beat him.

Yeah, he's the guy that appears on/off on the little bridge-thing in the
training area.

You probably are in the beggining of the game, correct?

If I'm not wrong, this item "Battle Metter" can be used to see how many
enemies you fighted, how many times you won, how many times you lose, the
number of each character was been killed, and so on...

You can see these statistics on menu Information (or something like that,
now I forgot)...

You can view the battle meter by accessing the menu, choosing Tutorial,
then choosing information, then choose information again. You should see
the battle meter choices.
