Jack finally realizes that things have taken a serious turn for the worse. He knows he needs to
be very careful and very ruthless. He's lost a lot of troops in the past few days to a bunch of
computer geeks living above a dance club in Omaha and this is not good for business.

From St. Louis, Jack rules a vast inland empire of drugs, prostitution, smuggling, gambling,
loan sharking and just about every other known vice. No one messes with Jack. His fuse is short
and his reach is long.

But Jack's in trouble now. Mike, a young reporter for a cable news network, and Jay, his
computer geek girl friend, hacked their way into Jack's operation and gathered a vast trove
of data that will put Jack and his associates out of business permanently.

When Jack discovered what happened, Mike and Jay fled to Omaha where they're hiding out with
friends in penthouse apartments atop an old fortress of a converted warehouse whose first floor
fronts as the city's most popular dance club. Its other floors conceal other things.

The guy Jack sent to Omaha to take care of Mike botched the job and is now seriously dead. It
appears that Mike has some very clever friends at that club. They always seem one step ahead
of Jack. They've made Jack a laughing stock and that's not a good in Jack's line of work.

So Jack decides to go for broke. He calls upon a couple of feral psychopaths who specialize
in leaving a wake of corpses. He knows they'll handle the job the right way, no slip ups, no
witnesses, and not too squeamish about collateral damage. This time, Jack wants a lot of damage.
This time, he wants to annihilate the geeks.

But Jack doesn't know the full story of what really goes on at that warehouse. He never
understood what he was up against and he never knew what hit him.
