>Anyone playing fallout New Vegas? Or is this just another dead group?
Not yet. I haven't seen it for sale yet and I'm having too much fun with
Nehrim at the moment.

I've had a bit of a wander about in it, but nothing major so far. Hardcore
mode is a nightmare! As the previous poster says, I'm charging through
Oblivion again as well, but I've added a few mods this time, then I'll do
Nehrim after. Giving a bit of time for bugs to be patched in F:NV.

I had a look. The current version is a lot cheaper than releases usually
are in Australia so I may decide to purchase, probably after Christmas.

There's a large patch being released soon for the game, after that I'll have
a serious go at F:NV

I'm intending to purchase it after Christmas. Hopefully the patch will
be available by then.

I'll buy it when the price drops. It just isn't worth a fifty dollar bill
:-(
I saw it for less than that in Australian dollars.

For the PC and PS3. Us unfortunate Xbox users are still waiting. :(

This is an honest question not a flame: How do you play FPS games
with one of those game controlers? I've tried it several times and
just find it imposible .
Most FPS games have some form of aim assist. FNV doesn't, but it does have VATS. I find it
surprisingly easy to get long distance kills with a scope in free aim but if the target is close and moving
quickly (Cazadores, anyone?) I'm screwed if my VATS points are exhausted.
Mostly it just takes a lot of skill, which I don't have. But usually whatever aim assist the developer
provides makes up for it. A lot of PC gamers would sneer at that but I don't care as long as I'm having
fun...

I have a question along these lines as well Bob, if you don't mind:
Can you plug a USB keyboard into your Xbox, and a USB mouse? I think that
you can do this with a PS3, and again, same question to any PS3 owners. I
have an Xbox controller for my PC as there are some games that are better on
a joypad, but I'm more used to the PS2 controller, as I had one of those
consoles in the past.
Why would you want to play it on an Xbox?

Because I enjoy playing it on the Xbox, like I enjoyed Oblivion, Red Dead Redemption, GTA4, and the 20
other games I own for it. And trying to run it on my six year old budget Dell PC wouldn't even be a sad
joke.

I believe you can, but the support varies from game to game. I've never actually tried it, myself, though.
Maybe someone who has tried it can speak up with more useful input. Sorry.

Just for the heck of it, I tried checking out my PC on the website "Can You Run It?" CPU, ram, and
video card are all far below the minimum spec needed to run this game--as I expected--and I'm not
getting a new one anytime soon.
It says I do have the specs to run Doom 3, though. That surprised me a bit.

That's what you get for buying Dell!
so if you can grin n bear it, youll be gettin better with big guns.
personally, it got alot easier for me when i got the combat shotgun. even
ifyou miss, you still get thier arm or something...
