Hi all,

I am wondering what to do with some spare skill points ( if there really is
such a thing) I can never decide what to do. I'm a female thieving type,
ST 6,PE 7, EN 6, CH 7, IN 8, AG 8, LK 6. I've tagged sm. guns, steal, and
speech. I'm still dicking around New Reno for the first time, but I've
levelled up, with a perk, and although I'll leave the perk alone for now,
I'm wondering if I should bone up on the Big Guns. It's only at 6% and I
know where I can steal some Bozars ( this is my second time through the
game). Or do you think I should bump up the energy weapons, for the Gauss
rifles later?? Aarghh, I hate making these decisions on my own. Any
opinion out there? Thanks in advance.

bozar is a big gun, and if you've got points to spare (enough to get to about
90%) I'd say do it. Gauss rifles count as small arms btw, so you might want to
invest there.

I always thought the Gauss was an energy weapon. My small guns, btw, is at
111 % right now. I could choose Tag as a perk and jump up the big guns
quicker, but as it's only at 6% it would take awhile. My energy weapons is
only at 11% anyways, but I'm not sure what I'll need later.

IIRC, the Gauss weapons use the small guns skill, so it's basically up to you what
you prefer. I was never a big fan of Bozar, but it could suit you well. On the other
hand, if you get your hands on the energy weapons from the Sierra Army base,
good luck to the bad guys that meet you >:o). So yeah, I'd probably go with the
energy guns...

My big guns is at 5% my energy is at 6% my melee is at 5% and my range is at
10% i've got no intention of putting any skill points on those. I'm going
thru the game with unarmed and small guns (wich are tagged) theyr are bothe
around 150% for the super super power fist and the gauss riffle. I'm doing a
killin' right now with only that.
IMHO you dont need big guns and energy if you have a high unarmed and small
guns.

Definitely energy weapons are the way to go :) Big guns like bozars are
good, but messy. Sulik doesn't look very healthy after I accidentally hit
him with a bozar. I find parts of him here, there, & everywhere. If I hit
him with a plasma rifle, it's almost guarateed he'll survive, but it turns
the bad guys into lots of little puddles ;)

So I almost always tag energy weapons (because small guns pretty much take
care of themselves with G&B). Then make a beeline for the lights of New
Reno, & a supercharged plasma rifle. There's at least two places to gain
energy weapon skill there too :)
