Looking everything over with EQ2 it looks like a great game, did I
mention a REALLY great game. How is the user base? is it full of
kiddies like WoW? I might mention that I only played on a PVP server
during my entire WoW lifespan.
I am downloading the 14 day trial as we speak. If I go and buy it
will
I want to get ALL the expansions right off the bat? Is there some
sort
of "Battle Chest" type of package that already has it all?
Also, right off the bat I will probably want to pick a good server
and
Mature guild.
Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

It has been a few years since I played, but the EQ chars are generally
better baklanced and the players more mature than WOW (I've played the
trial twice).
EQ combat is more involved, slower and more organised. if you know what
you are doing and really play your char properly, you will be welcome.

Goodluck there. Lot of toads to be kissed.

Watch out for layers who haven't really played their char ($$$$) and
trains. Did I mention the trains? OTOH, if you die in EQ, just get
straight back in and you'll quickly regain the points with a good team.
does Eq stuill have body recovery? that can be fun.
If the trial is the mine, it is okay, but missing stuff like bards.
Have fun.
