First off, Brad's recent post about what is going to happen with lore
items will be a good step I believe. The problem he might be missing is
MULE characters...putting an item on another character on your account.
No way around it though.
Some other random talk about classes and abilities:
1) Wizards are not underpowered. As in every game, a wizard is always a
little less powerful at the beginning, but when you hit high levels, you
will be SO glad you are a wizard. They do have skin spell buffers, they
do have insane damage spells, they do have force spells, etc... A good
wizard who knows what hes doing is a force to be reckoned with. A hint,
mana is everything.
2) Kiting is so over-mentioned on this board and elsewhere. Let me get
to the point, Kiting is used rarely by most high level druids and
shamans and rangers that I know, and I know a lot. Its useful on some
early and middle levels(not overly useful) and it takes a while to get
that one kill even if you do try to do it a lot. The people grouping and
killing consitently are always gonna be higher than the the kiting fool.
Its not that powerful...trust me. And there are risks involved, its not
an exploit...stop worrying about it, its nothing special.
3) Warriors are on the short end of the stick. Monks are great(FD rocks,
as well as thier AC and damage potential), Paladins are insanely
great(Healing, armor, and some very very nice weapons), Rangers are
great(Some great spells as you get higher, and a nice warrior class),
and Warriors are decent. They deserve something more. Small, mind you,
but something extra to thier class. Thats my opinion, but it still
holds. I wouldn't worry all you warriors out there, you still are great
tanks, and im sure Verant will add some nice skill to your class soon.
Also, wait till you see your hp at high levels, its very very nice:)
Course a warrior with all his special class weapons and armor might be
extremely powerful, so I may be wrong.
4) Rouges are a fun class, and hopefully with thier skills and use
actually being worked on, will becomes an even funner class.
5) Enchanters are great. Clarity Rocks. Some fun spells too, I love em.
6) Bards are decent. Gotta know how to play one...cause if you dont you
can be the most annoying and worst character in the group. But if you
do, you can be very beneficial.
7) Druids are great and fun class.
9) Dont know much about SK's, but I hear they have a tough time in the
high mid levels. Supposedly they have some very nice spells.
10) Shamans rock...have a lot of great abilities. Necro's also have some
very unique spells, and are a powerful class...if you play them well.
11) Clerics are a very very nice class. Great spells. Just what you
expected from the class. Cant complain.
Stop complaining about not being able to solo. Groups are more fun
anyways...
Btw, the people that asked me for money...I'm not an altruist.
But, if you really must know, I do help out quite a few people.
Lord
I couldn't have said it better myself, although I wish I had tried instead
of constantly replying to posts that make it seem as though this really
makes it easy to be one of the classes that have SoW. As a Shaman I don't
have any GREAT attributes, but can fill many gaps in a group, and one of my
best contributions is SoW, and I'd like to keep it that way.
