OK, I have tremendous admiration for someone who goes to the trouble of
learning American English when it isn't their native tongue, but there
is
precious little that is funnier than someone cursing in English when
they
aren't completely fluent in it. It's made even funnier when they're
apopleptic with rage, as Arnaud here is.--Brandon Blackmoor

It's great to see that Verant continues to take measures to remove
some of the tedium aspects of the game (and especially nice to see it
in tailoring, of course :)
Now, if only it were a bit easier to get one's hands on Viscous Mana.
I spent several hours over the past three days wandering around
looking for someone who would make some for me. I was supplying the
vials and pearls, and willing to pay per cast as well (200 mana per
makes this a real pita for enchanters).
Finally a kind soul in NK took pity on me and made 40 of them. I was
dismayed at how fast I was able to burn through all 40.
I'm giving serious consideration to power leveling an enchanter of my
own so that I can make these things.

Then, do not stack them :)

Yup. At level 30, my enchanter can get about six vials off before
needing to med, and while maintaining only Clarity on herself can get out
about 4 vials every three minutes tops. So far, I've used 260 or so vials
getting tailoring up to 149 - so you can imagine how much time I spent just
medding, casting now and then, and reading.

You get "lucky" once you hit 151. At that point, you need three swatches
per attempt and the swatches start to be the limiting factor. Even with my
WAR gathering swatches for me (either clearing the Heart Spiders while
soloing the AC in Upper Guk, or looting silks in the BR/SR in Lower when
grouped), they're still the limiting factor.

Do it.
I did it and it saved me A LOT of time and money.
You only need level 12. =) Do it on a second account if you have one.
The bonus was I that I had a lot of fun playing the enchanter class and
got him up to level 23 now. =)
I'll tell you what though that is a damn HARD class to play well. My hat's off
to the players that play that class, and play it well.

If they are untwinked, they will probably help you.
I personally pay my chanters 2pp pr cast, so they can make 80pp in around
1 hour if i get them a clarity. They even come back and ask me if i need
more, so they can make some more money.
But dont expect a level 30 chanter to be spending a hour making vials for
you.

Anyway just a point, and a bit OT for this thread anyway.

You dont have to powerlevel very far . IIRC its a lvl 12 spell . Of course
the other tailor I know complains endlessly about how long it takes her
twinky to make these .
Data point: 240 wu combines to get from 131 - 158 for me, average
intelligence was 225 and average dex was 88. I dont think Dex matters
but every time I posted the stats some numbskull wanted to know how
much dex i had for reference.

FYI Greg if you are using skins other than zombie skins for making
vials you are doing too much. Zombie skins are 3plat a stack off
players in unrest =)
Plus, unless you are getting pottery up for shawl quests, you dont
even need to MAKE vials, you can buy em from every rogue poison vendor
for dirt cheap.
Sam / Kad
I've been using zombie skins because they *stack*. I can get puma skins
and black wolf skins off of the merchants in the Commonlands for less than
3pp per 20, not to mention that they are much easier to obtain (not just
in the Commons, but pretty much every lowbie zone.) When they start
stacking on the player servers, I will most certianly start using them.
My rogue is working to grandmaster pottery. Not only is it cheaper to make
your own vials, but (supposedly) idols are only the beginning of a pottery
renaissance.
(at least thats the way it is on test, and we're hoping it makes it to live
on this patch)
