I had all but given up on ever being able to tailor any items of armor
other than the "Standard 7": Cap, Gorget, Tunic, Sleeves, Gloves,
Pants, and Boots. Recently I have begun to question that assumption,
due to the following:

1) I ran across a tattered wrist band as miscellaneous loot for sale
from a vendor (could have been found as monster loot though, since it
was buried amongst the rusty items, spider silk, animal parts, etc.).

2) Now that I'm trying to move on to studded and boned items, I notice
the tailoring book lists the stud/boning requirements for items such
as masks, belts, shoulderpads, etc.

3) Somebody told me they heard they were for sale in Kithicor Woods.

That last bit of information REALLY got me excited (well, as excited
as you can get over a trade skill in EQ anyway) so I looked all over
the place in Kithicor, but was unable to find a vendor with these
patterns. I also searched in Highhold Pass/Keep to no avail. Being
able to tailor armor beyond the Standard 7 would breathe new life into
my tailoring career, even if it was just to produce a truly complete
set of patchwork! Does anybody know if these patterns exist at ALL,
even if their exact location is unknown?

Since I am asking for what some might consider a SPOILER, I've got one
to offer myself in trade, found in the search above:

Well, _I_ didn't know about this "quest" anyway ;)

In Kithicor Woods, I encountered a vendor who boasted about the gloves
he could craft for me. It turns out he can make Ratskin, Wolfskin,
Bearskin, and the prized Lionskin gloves. I had him craft a pair of
Ratskin gloves for me. He required 6g and a Giant Rat Pelt from me,
and I got gloves with the same AC as patchwork, slightly heavier, and
-5 CHA in return. Didn't seem to be a great deal, but it turns out
vendors will buy them from me for 8g5s or so, making Giant Rat Pelts
effectively worth 2g5s. The downside is that he seems to wander around
quite a bit (he isn't in a building, just outdoors) so finding him
when you are ready is a bit time consuming. I haven't tried
Wolfskin(requiring 13g and a HQ Wolf skin) or Bearskin(25g and HQ
Bearskin) yet, but I will. I have no idea what the requirements for
Lionskin is yet - he wouldn't tell me because I'm not "Heroic" enough
yet :(

You can get these from a quest in Surefall glade. Its the poacher
one, I believe, or it might be Gnasher. I don't quite remember.

I don't think they exist. I've heard rumors that they're in this
zone, that zone, this other zone, and I've never found them. Some
people just like to start rumors. Oh, and by the way, they're
available in Neriak. ;)

I love my bearskin gloves. Much better than leather, and they go well
with my bear hide belt, boots, and cloak. I guess that I will have to
go ahead and buy some banded soon, but it just doesn't seem
appropriate for a ranger to be clanking around in metal armor.
