Hello,

I just got a laptop to play my other account. I would recommend atleast 512
Ram and 64mb dedicated Video Card. That is what I got fairly cheap and it
works great. I got the NVidia 64mb FX 5200 Go card, and no problems yet.

You should probably read the tech support forums also, because Sony does not
"officially" support EQ on laptops. Hope this helps.

Which is strange, because wasn't it Sony that was shipping laptops with EQ
installed not too long ago? Not to mention the fact that it's their own
product.

I am able to play EQ fine on my Toshiba Satellite. It's a couple years old
now, but I don't have to throttle back too many settings to play. That
said, I have not tried OoW on it, but it handled Luclin and PoP pretty
well.

It is a P4M 1.7GHz, 512MB RAM with nVidia GeForce4 440 Go 32MB graphics. It
gets pretty hot underneath, as most gaming laptops will, even with the
mobile pentium processor.

I can tell you what *NOT* to try and run it on, the HP nc6000 POS.
It's got an ATI Mobility 9600 so one would think it would work well,
negative Houston!
1.6GHz, 1gb RAM, decent HD, and it still blows.

ARGH!

Go figure, i have an HP pavillion ze4100, 512 ram, ati 9600,
1.8gH and it runs fine, only the slightest lag in PoK and bazaar,
and raids with lots of sparklies. I do go around with most of new
character stuff, no shadows [hate the way they look anyway] no
animation [never liked them] and only have human female and horse
turned on so i can use my horse.

Laptops in general are always going to be slower than a regular pc, atleast
from my experience. I have a dell 2650 with a geforce card in it, 512 megs
of ram and a 40 gig hd. Games take forever to load, but seems to be ok when
playing. Biggest thing in laptops is hard drive speed, i discovered my
laptop hd by dell is only 42k rpm or somethign like that. That will effect
loading times.
