Charmed pets won't fight for you anymore?

I am a level 19 Druid. I use befriend animal all the time to help me fight.
That is kinda how I think a Druid should fight. Anyway, tonight I couldn't
get my pets to fight. I have all the pet commands hotkeyed, and pet
responded to some of em, like pet as you were. Also, if I dont type in any
commands, and get hit, my pets have ALWAYS fought for me in the past! I
believe the pets wanted to fight, but a pathfinding bug kept em from
helping. They always seemed to be 10 feet to the east of me. When I would
try to fight, they would spin in circles. This stinks:) I tried charming and
fighting constantly with several types of pets, lions, snakes and griffawns
for about two hours. Most of the pets I charmed were green so that they
would last longer. Another interesting thing, was that the griffs always
broke the charm nearly imideately. I really do hope that this is a mistake,
or maybe my guys data got pooch screwed, although the monsters seemed to
attack me fine, very fine:) BTW, I tried zoning many times.
On an other note about charming. Why can't you still get exp for the monster
you were attacking if your pet comes uncharmed, yet you still manage to kill
the monster?
And is their an ETA on DOT taking exp and corpse bug? I thought they fixed
that, but I saw that last night.

I played last night on the Bert Server and the charm spell seemed to work
fine for me.

If your Pet is too green compared to the Target you want to attack it
will ignore your attack command.
