On the news of the day at eqdruids.com, it was announced that there is
a new level 29 druid spell called Imbue Plains Pebble that will turn
a foraged plains pebble into a magic one that can be used in smithing.

I assume that is for the new colored armour though that was not stated
in the announcement.

The spell can be purchased at the NK gypsy camp.

There was also a new spell "Imbue Emerald", also for smithing. The
location for purchase of that spell was not given.

BTW, Imbued items are tradeable, so this may be a nice little money
maker for level 29 druids if there is a demand for colored armor :-)

And we all know how badly level 29 druids need another avenue for money
making.

I don't think it's going to be for colored armor, but I haven't paid a
whole lot of attention to all the hubhub around smithing... none of my
characters are plate-wearing classes, and my old decent trade skill is
tailoring. But anyway, imbuing gems/stones seems to have some sort of
religious significance. I think they are used to make enchanted
equipment, perhaps equipment that can only be used by characters who
worship a specific diety.
The spell description notes that Imbue Plains Pebble can only be cast
by worshippers of Karana (or at least that's what I think I read.) My
guess is that Imbue Emerald may be only castable by Tunarian druids
(Tunare-nature-green-emerald.)

If EQ-Casters is right clerics get Imbue plains pebble, but I don't see how
if they are No Drop.

Well .. some of us druids certainly DO need a legitimate avenue for money
making. Some of us never charge for ports, buffs, etc. (if that is what you
were implying). My druid is still poor at 40. But, sadly, if I understand
correctly, this Tunarian druid will not get that new 'avenue' either, for
she cannot worship Karana.

Gosh, you're right. All other classes are paupers compared to druids
at that level.

Hehe yep...maybe those druids can stop farming Pyzjin and those other
spawns that drop items they can't use, for a day or so now. <smirk>
