1) What's the easiest, fastest way to get more spider silk? I'm doing this
with a level 40 druid, and I've done South Ro tarantulas and Upper Guk heart
spiders. Any faster way?
2) Is there a Cured Silk Tunic? I've seen web pages talking about masks and
other pieces, but no tunic yet. Is there one? What skill does it take to
make it? What does it look like?
3) What skill do I actually need in tailoring to make the cured silk stuff?
I still fail half of the Raw Silk work I do with a 29 skill right now.

Well, since Raw Silk seems to be similar in difficulty to Studded Leather, I'd
guess that Cured Silk is similar to Reinforced Leather. If so, it's a nice way
to step up to the skill level needed to start reliably making Tailored
Backpacks. And you don't have to burn High Quality Bear Pelts making the
Reinforced to try it. (Not that anyone probably would. Can't just about all
Large race characters wear Chainmail anyway?)

No, not really. You should be able to kill spiders pretty fast,
A faster way might be those lil kerra spiders on the island
in erud ocean between erudin and qeynos. They give silk,
are a fast kill, and there are lots. Large in butcher also
give the right silk, but are all spread out and not as mnay.
Ro sucks for my druid even at 15 when the tarantualas are still xp,
and nro. I maxxed raw to 36 in about an hour so with help of a level
20 or so wis who was killing spiders for the silk in east karana,
try that too. I think that kerra isle is the best bet though. You
probably would not even have to use much mana.

There probably is one, probably the same skill as the other pieces,
all the raw silk became trivial at same time, one is not harder
than the other like with banded. I bet it looks just like leather,
since for a monk it would not be a robe probably.

That is a clue, wait until it maxxes at 36 to try cured.
My druid 15 has only made 2 attempts on cured at
36 skill with the mask and failed twice. No idea if
that was just unlucky or if you need even higher skill.

Im level 15 and would charge you one plat a piece for all pieces
( i think full set 10 pieces.. 10 plat! what a bargain)
Im on the tribunal server. If you brought your own silk
(takes 2 per swatch) I'd charge you 5 gold a piece
( its sells to npcs for me for 4 gold).
I think that is about as cheap as you could expect.
The acs are one below leather or mesh for the
most part...
for example, the arm is 3 ac, vs a 4 ac leather or mesh arm.
the tunic is 6 ac.
The mask is 2 ac.
So its what you'd wear until you got damask
or better I think.
For a monk its what they'd wear until they got
mesh, OR cured which is same as mesh but lighter even
(cept mesh gloves magic.. so better I guess)
I used to be practically stepping over spider after spider running through
Butcherblock, now after the silk update (and now that I actually want to
kill them) I found TWO spiders in a 3 hour period! The funny thing is, is
that I noticed no one else out in the field looking for them or killing any
either. At first I thought that they're over hunted because of the new
armor, but now I think that the spawn rate has been drastically turned down
so that there isn't a flood of this new armor. On that same note, I killed
at least 12 spiders in W. Karana last night and got THREE pieces of silk.
Sorry. Us rangers kinda go whompin for spiderling silk for our
neat little bows.

Silk armor requires spider silk, not spiderling silk. So I don't think that
this is one of the big reasons why there are no spiders anywhere. Although,
it would have been cool if they would have made it so that spiderling silk
could be used also. It requires 2 spider silk for a silk swatch. Would
have been nice if they would have made it require 4 spiderling silk to make
that same swatch.

Thought of it. Didn't work.

Tried 2 and 3 spiderlings (before another member of
my guild pointed out what I was doing wrong).
Nada on both. Didn't try 4, but I wouldn't bet
on it. Spiderling silk is way too common and
easy.

I tried 3 and 4 spiderling silks. doesn't work. after the rumors on bone
armor, I also tried differnt combination of bone chips up to 8. that doesn't
work either.

|How does spiderling silk apply to bows?
It's a Trueshot component.

The spiders in the tunnel off the bedroom in lower guk drop a lot of
silk.
