Magicians in Najena .... shovel, stein, torch, etc.??

At what level does having the stein, shovel, broom etc. increases the
efficacy of the summoned pet? Should I worry/spend on that now?
I saw the basic shovel, etc for sale in the bazaar at 200pp. Could a solo
54 druid walk into Najena and easily camp them and get them for free, or is
it a group type place? I know little about Najena. My sense is, my main
could smoke through there.

The items will be Magic/Lore in thier descriptions. There are other
shovels out there so be careful.
Get a map of Najena (www.eqatlas.com). I had the most luck getting the
focus drops from the Goblin Magicians (in the area near Najena's
room).
The dungeon requires keys for several of the doors. The first set of
keys you want is a "Guard Keyring" (drop off of Ogre Guards/Officers).
There are two traps that drop you into jail cells with locked doors.
If you can't gate you may get stuck in there (happened to my monk
heheh). You will also need keys to get to the named mobs. There are
some decent lowbie drops in the zone (flowing black robe, etc), so you
might as well do a little farming while you are there. Also a couple
of the named drop the focus items or have mgicians that spawn in thier
rooms, so it is worth getting the keys and killing them for that
reason.
The toughest mob is the Widowmistress (lilght blue to a 53). She
actually killed my 53 monk, when I wasn't paying attention. She spawns
near the giant black widows. I was farming silks and watching TV
waiting for the goblin magicians to respawn and the next thing I knew
I was in the PoK hehehe. The other notable mobs Najena, Drelzna, Bone
Cracker, Skeleton, and Raythal were a cake walk for my Monk.. Make
sure your magic resistance is pumped up and you should be fine. The
biggest problem I had killing them was damaging myself on the damage
shields that the magicians cast on themselves and the other mobs in
the area.

Pretty much the same experience here. There are several places that say
that the items drop off the DE magicians but I find that they drop off
_any_ Magician in the place.
Be _very_ careful of the Widowmistress. She chewed through a buffed
earth peet and then me before I was even able to con her. I was in my
30s as I recall.
Also, while you're in there a portion of your epic is done in there.
There's a male DE magician, whose name escapes me, that wants 4 pages(?)
from various mobs in there. You can kill two birds with one stone.

Drelzna caused a wipe recently for my mid-30s duo last time I engaged
her... chain Harm Touched... 6 times in a row...we melted. I don't know
if its a bug or not...
we re-engaged, and basically nuke-mez... wait, nuke-mez, wait (heal from
the HT she got off)... nuke-mez... and even so she got off two HTs over
the fight.
I don't know if she's supposed to be like that, or whether it was a bug.
But it was ridiculous.

Wow, that bug is way old. Like over 2 years. Drelzna wasn't the
only mob reported to do that, there was also one in Fear IIRC.
It has been so long since I saw a post on it that I would have
assumed it was fixed (maybe it was, and they broke it again
recently).

It will take a while. Took me... about 9 hours to get all 4 items. Funny
thing, when I took my mage in there a few weeks ago with my friend, (I got
back in to give him a leg up, as it were), we dropped a stein, torch, and
broom in about 4 hours.
Might be faster to make 1kpp to buy them by going somewhere and quad kiting
if they are common in your bazaar.
Alternatively, they drop off the gators (or crocodiles, I forget) right
outside Lost Temple of Cazic Thule. Obviously there are advantages to that
for you, since it is outdoors.
afaik there are two really dangerous mobs in Najena. I forget what one of
them is, the other is part of the magician's epic, and chased the 48 ranja
(trust me he was a ranja) that came in about halfway through our evening out
of the zone. Didn't seem to be agro though (never agro'd on shaman/gnome
combo).

As I recall, level 10 may be a doable in a group. You can hunt there
for quite some time as the mobs get tougher as you go deeper. Someone
else has already mentioned the pit traps as you get in deeper. Keep
gate mem'd.
Two of the focus items are used for your epic. Magicians in there also
drop parts for your epic. Talk to Akksstaff; he wanders around in
there.
