Any magicians out there that can give some advice on this part of the epic?

We've camped Najena on and off for a couple days now, killing all DE mages
- looking for the torn pages. If I read correctly, I think the magicians
that will actually drop the pages are in Najena's room (gold crecent key
access). Obviously, we haven't had any good luck.

Any tips to acquiring these ellusive pages? Are we on the right track?
CastersRealm also said they dropped in Feerrott. I haven't seen any DE
mages there.

Any help would be appreciated.

I got my pages off the DE mages NOT in Najena's room. I spent several
days there as I recall trying to get the pages and drops for the focus
items.

Thanks Pali. That helps and makes sense.

Anyone else?

A couple of weeks ago I was working on my focus items for my mage
and I would start near the point where there are two elementals
'guarding' a portal where a DE mage and her pet would be standing,
go down to the room with the tent in the middle of the room and
another 2 DEs were, then back around and go down to the jail level
and kill the mages there (also the skellies.) Also killing everything
in between. Over the course of a couple of hours a day for 3 or 4
days, I got 3 focus items and three pages. Kill everything is my
advice. I can't recall clearly, but at least two of those 6 items
dropped off of something other than a mage. Could be it was two
of the focus items, or one of each or two pages, I can't really
remember.

As I recall, I got the pages in the Jail level. I forget why I was
down in the basement, but I got 2-3 pages, which I kept figuring that
these may come in handy later. I got them back when I was 35, and I'm
55 now - maybe it's time to start the epic :).

Good Luck,
Julie

They can drop off any of the magicians in Najena .... I'd had earth, air and
fire for ages and ended up running around the zone trying to get the water
page killing them all with the 49 earth pet. I'd do the mages on the main
lvl after the terrors and in the crystal room then head downstairs to the
jail after there I'd go and bop the goblins and do the 2 in najena's room
and finally head over to where trazdon spawns as his ph is a DE mage and
there's another DE mage on the ramp below him.

Trying to get power of fire to drop off blazing elementals now and it looks
like it's gonna be a loooonng camp :( ... I've read that the lava elementals
drop it more often but the ph is a clockwork ... but as a gnome mage it's
not good for me to start killing them.

Blazing elementals is a long camp (or can be). If you are just waiting
for the BEs to spawn, you can occupy the waiting time by making a
circuit and whacking all the goblins in the tunnels nearby. It will
fill the time and get you stuff to sell to the gnome merchant -- might
as well make up the cost of a KEI, etc. -- and keep you occupied.

Since the elementals qualify as summoned (right?) you can try and use
the Sense Summoned spell to identify all summoned critters (when the
BEs are dead, I usually got some gnomish conjuror's pet) and you might
pick up if the Lava Elemental is up. After going around and around
wiping BEs and goblins, I picked up the LE with the spell (or was it
hearing something through the rock, anyway I was working up Divination
anyway) and when I whacked it, it dropped the Power of Fire.

Good luck.
