I am relatively new to playing EQ and I have gained 9th level with my
Troll warrior. I want to take a break from the constant slaying of
orcs, tarantulas and giant snakes to make some money at a trade, but
to my dismay you can't actually do any of the trades (save fishing) in
Grobb. Grobb contains no kiln, smithy, oven, pottery wheel, and the
merchant only sells small sewing kits not large ones. Could anyone
give me suggestions on how to make a little cash as a Troll, maybe I'm
overlooking something, but it seems Trolls have it tough trade wise.

Thurgash, 9th level warrior, Rallos Zek.

Well, you could do... oh, you wanted to make money? Nevermind.

I might trade a rusty halberd and a few copper for a troll.

Must be in good condition - well good condition for a troll.

The small sewing kit DOES make large patchwork. Buy a kit, and head to
nektulos forest near neriak and kill bears until you can't stand it
anymore, bank them and return to the swamp to sell Patchwork. Good
market in the swamp as noone else will bother to do this (except you and
me).

Also, you could take up smithing. Buy ore in grobb, bank it and run to
Oggok, the Forge is there.

Well, you could use the small sewing kit... it doesn't sew small only, it
just ony makes one at a time, where as a large one makes 4 (i think) at a
time. JUst put the right kind of skin with the right kind of pattern and you
can make large stuff with a small sewing kit.

There's a forge in Oggok, which is an easy run for a 9th Troll warrior.
