Where can one buy a Skinning Knife?

Its a player smithed item. Any smith should be able to produce one for you
as its not got a high trivial. Expect to pay a coupla plat for
it....possibly get it for free if you hand over the parts needed....

Cannot be bought from NPC merchants. Must be purchased from another
player, or smith it yourself. They aren't that hard to make. For info on
smithing, check out http://www.eqtraders.com And look under the recipes
section.

1 (Dagger?) Blade Mold (Neriak Down Under, female DEF merchant
downstairs in the bar)
1 Sheet Metal (two small blocks of ore (left merchant in bar) + 1 flask of
water)
1 flask of water
Combine in any non specialized Forge Forge and eventually
you will get your skinning knife...

It's 1 small brick of ore you need to make the skinning knife not 1 sheet metal.

Is there any place in Freeport to purchase the raw materials necessary to
create a skinning knife?
I am a smith and a tailor friend of my needs a skinning knife. I have
looked everywhere to find the hilt and dagger blade molds and cannot find
them anywhere. I looked online to try to find where they may be and the
places they mention are in Freeport, but I cannot find them. Have they
been removed from these locations? (Dagger in West Freeport in a white
building, hilt in blue building in East Freeport) I am on the Tunare
server if that makes any difference.
Quoted above Lars mentions where they can be found in Neriak. I am
relativly new to the game, playing my first character. I am level 17
currently. I am in Freeport. Would it be possible for a Level 17 to make
it over to Neriak to find these molds?

info in those pages to make one in Freeport a week or so back.
HINT: The Hilt mold is in the "dubious" part of East Freeport, not in the
main stores ....

Yeah, I looked in the places in Freeport where they were supposed to be and
couldn't find them. Maybe it's time to travel a bit.

I've looked here, she's got all sorts of weapon molds as you say, but no
dagger blade. I think I am doomed to not get this made. Maybe when I
travel to find the hilt I will find a dagger blade.

I've been able to gather all the other stuff I need.
Thanks for all the help. Now I need to go find my way to some of these new
places to try to get the molds.

I was in Qeynos when I made my skinning knife which meant a tedious trip to the
eastern edge of West Karana to buy the Hilt Mold.

The Kaladim/Butchefblock area has everything you need right there, I think.
Ore is in the mines by the bank, molds are at one of the vendors to the left
in Butcher.
