Never put dear in it, but I have got go ask you, why was Cazic Thule's touch
of death upped to be zone wide? He's instaklling people that are on the
other side of the zone. I mean..why is he even doing it if he's not aggro on
them? Fear plane is hard enough as it is. The zone in point is not safe,
finding a spot or area to set up fort is not easy...it's actually very, very
difficult...and now you add these zone spanning touches of death. Please
remove it (asking nicely of course =)). Being instantly killed by a monster
you can't even see while in the middle of a fight with 3 level 52+ mobs is
not uh...something to be desired.
And I have to commend you on the changes to the loot drops in the new
alternate planes. Bravo!!. I suggested that they drop class specific armor
for casters, and voila..a week later, hate opens, and the new armors are
being dropped (I know, I know,..it wasn't my suggestion that did it heh).
But even with the new armor drops, for casters...they are still being left
to dry in regards to the chances of their armor being dropped. I'll list
this an example, and I guess you can form an opinion about it.
I've been to fear more times than I can count. When I go, I stay for the
whole fight...till the zone is cleared. I dont' leave after the mob that
drops my armor is extinct. At least 150+ hours there..maybe more. I've
gotten a total of 2 pieces of armor (I'm a Wizard). Other classes are in
near full suits. And it's not just for wizards. Same for Necros, Enchanters,
and Magicians. A friend of mine..a shaman, just had shaman armor literally
handed to him (nearly a full suit) in the plane of Hate tonight. I don't man
he got pieces over several trips..he got several pieces "tonight". All the
Rangers, Druids, Clerics, Rogues (especially the rogues..they are on a
roll), Shamen, Paladins, Warriors, have been getting their armor dropped
like crazy. Why is caster armor so rare still? You can probably verify this
by going and watching the fights in the planes.
Wizards are vital for access to the plane of Hate. I thought there was a
walk in gate somewhere, but many say their isn't. I still have hope though.
Hate is the new big thing. With our items in Fear, and the fact that Cazic
Thule is now flexing his godly powers in the form of a instakilling finger,
no one is going to fear. Necros are the ultimate melee class in EQ. A level
49 pet can outdamage entire groups. Can even outdamage me, yes me! The
Mighty Bastion! Enchanters' buffs and clarities, and speed enhancers , etc
etc..make and break these outings. Magicians buffs, and pets are just as
effective in tanking as Necros'. Wizards gate, evac, do tremendous damage,
etc, etc..But we are left without reason to even try these planes. I go to
hate now because I'm "needed" to go. I am their only way in. Most Necros and
Wizards I know feel that they've been well, ..trod over. Yesterdays news,
etc etc. Magi and Encs don't seem to be complaining, since Hate is now hot,
and their items are there, but still..it seems a tad unbalanced.
I'm asking...suggesting...that you look over the changes that you've made to
the plane of fear, in regards to the zone wide death touch(and remove
it)...and hope you either increase the rate that caster armor drops, or
increase the number of mobs that drop it(in both planes). I can't see the
rate, nor the numbers of mobs for casters, being the same as that of any of
the other melee or hybrid classes.
Btw..this is not a real "rant" or demand on how I want the game to be..or
anything. Just suggestions from a level 50 wizard with ...hmm...alot to say.
Oh, btw..here are a few more things that aren't as important, but worth
looking into eh? =)
Baking- How bout making foods edible by having them clicked on like drinks?
Or you can have certain foods that modify stats temporarily by eating them
with what the recipe books say they "Goes good with". You can have a player
buy a ..uhm..plate or something, put the food/drink in, then combine to eat.
If they combine the right ones..then their stats change. Can make the
duration of the change depend on how many times they eat it..or the number
of things they combine, or the difficulty in which the food was created.
Like uhm, a cake and some brandy would make someone hyper, giving them
increased agi and sta.. Uh..hope that's not confusing.
Also..I know this is a long shot(prays it isn't)..but heh, alot of friends
..of all magic classes, were discussing what type of pet it would be neat to
have. Clerics could get an angel (instert neat graphic), that's
invulnerable, uses alot of mana, but heals them for a certain amount of
time. Druids could get some tasmanian devel sort of thing, that's
uncontrollable. Wizards could get a Phoenix..yes, the fire bird...that can
either randomly damage all opponents in an area, heal the wizard
significantly, or heal the entire group he's in. (I know I know..that's
alot. But I'm a wizard..gotta look out for my brothers..uhm..yeah). Of
course, all this probably can't be added any time soon, but they would be
neat in the upcoming expansion. Also , the necro pet graphic should be
enhanced to show their power. Magi too. An armored skeleton with barbs, or
an elemental that really looks like fire.
Oh, how bout a level 49 dmg shield for wizards? Or a 49 Fire spell? Vox
laughs at my Conflagurations. Really, she laughs. Then I wake up naked in
Neriak.
Oh well, that's all.
Thanks for reading.

ermm what about the more forgotten classes like all the tanks.
Imagine them watching necro and mage pets out tanking them...

I would love to see baking make a difference !

An invulnarable pet ???
Now that is wishthinking !
>Druids could get some tasmanian devel sort of thing, that's

I would hate to see anything uncontrollable while on a Fire Giant raid or
something .. it would be lethal, to the group.

Bah ... a wizard should have a Familliar, that is the traditional pet of a
wizard ... it a small flying creature that have a weak lightning attack and
channels magic - Which could be that it could drain a *small* amount of mana
from it's target over to it's master wizard.
Anyway, a wizard pet should in no way heal anyone, wizards do damage, they
don't heal - That is the domain of the Cleric.
>Also , the necro pet graphic should be enhanced to show their power.
>Magi too. An armored skeleton with barbs, or an elemental that really looks

Oh yeah ... a Zombie with metal pieces where it have leather now would be a
nice looking pet. And a Fire elemental with flame graphics on it's hands
like on the Soulfire sword .. just for starters.
> Oh, how bout a level 49 dmg shield for wizards?
Druids and Magicians domain again .. not the wizard.
>Or a 49 Fire spell? Vox laughs at my Conflagurations. Really, she laughs.
I agree ... this is definately something the wizard could use.

Dear idiot,
This is not Brad's email box. His email box is <bmq...@verant.com>.
Send it there.
Thank you for your cooperation, and fuck you very much.

That you took the time to respond to this post really suprises me, given
that you don't seem to care what he was alking about. I'm sure that many
people have verant email addresses, but some may not and it's public
knowledge that this NG is read by Verant staff.

This was stated in very poor taste, in my opinion. You are representing
your organization like this? What makes me compelled to now visit
www.operation3d.com or any of its affiliates or daughter sites when I know
that management doesn't give a shit about anyone else and thinks its OK to
call people "idiot" and to tell them "fuck you".
If there was someone higher than you to send CC's of this to I would do it,
but it seems like you're it and you probably don't care what I think. Shame
on you anyways.

No, no, no, if it was Alisdair, he would have inserted a "Fuckwit" or

The general idea is that the newsgroup is a public venue, and any
coorespondence addressed to brad (and brad only) should be sent via
email.

You may, of course, choose your own path on the website. At least
I speak my mind. But, as I state in my signature, I speak for myself
only.

Sure don't, but thanks for the opinion.
