I am trying to tailor a robe, but i keep getting the message that i
cannot combine these items in this container, or something similar,
i'm trying to combine spider silk and the robe pattern in a large
sewing kit, does anyone know what it takes? i have 3 spider silks in
there by the way.

NO TERRIER
Also, make sure you are using the Tunic pattern, not the robe pattern.
Don't ask why but there are no known recipes for the robe pattern yet.

First off, are you using the 'robe' pattern? There is no known use for
that pattern. You should use the 'tunic' pattern, which is used to make
raw silk and crystalline silk robes, as well as all other tailored
pieces for the chest slot.
Second, the only thing that combines with spider silk is one other
spider silk, to make a silk swatch. You use swatches to make garments,
not the silk itself.
Third, assuming you are attempting a raw silk robe (again, made with the
'tunic' pattern, not the 'robe' pattern. Way to go, Verant!), you need
TWO silk SWATCHES.
There are two excellent places to find information on the tailoring
skill in Everquest:
http://www.eqtraders.com
http://www.lokari.com (I think I have this one right)
It was the discovery of the EQTraders site that got me involved in
tradeskills in the first place.
