Are the various research item class-specific? i.e. could a wizard research
an enchanter spell using the enchanter research book and pages?

Reason I ask is, I haven't found all the runes for Gravity Flux yet, but I
came across one of the pages for the enchanter version (which I've been told
does scribe into wiz spell books), so I was wondering if it was worth
looking out for the other page...

Or if you're on Morell with a spare copy of the spell, send me an
email/tell, and I'll buy it off you for some reasonable amount of pp. :)

You can't cross-research.

Really? Wizards use GF too? If you have an enchanter friend who can make
it for you with pages, that should work...or just keep your eye out for the
pages and ask a higher level enchanter in a bank zone if they wouldn't mind
combining them for you.

The resulting spell from Enc research is Enc only unfortuneately. Found
that out with an earlier Enc/Wiz shared spell when I made an extra for a
wizard friend ( or maybe that was a shaman, was a long time ago) and he
couldn't mem it. As you said in your post, you can't cross research.
You just didn't know how right you were <g>.

I have, personally, given a copy of Gravity Flux that I, personally,
researched with my enchanter, to a wizard, and he was able to scribe it.

And I've done it more than once.

The spell that is produced says ENC only, but for some reason it was
scribeable by the wizard.

Interesting. How recently was this? I seem to recall the incident I'm
talking about being a fair bit of time ago, maybe 6 to 10 months.
Wondering if this is something that was changed or if it was particular
to the spell. I didn't even notice the Enc only notation till it
couldn't be memed, so I'm sure it didn't work when I tried it, but now
I'm curious to know if I should try again heh.

It's been several months. It may have been "fixed" in a recent patch.
