This is more unbalance. Just like the Grobb Cleaver that "good" warriors
will never have.

Hold out a little. On the Cazic-Thule server, characters are commonly
selling their Combine weapons for the same price (or just a smidge more)
they paid for them.

Are the gypsies up in Lavastorm any different? I know soon after starting
the game, the ones in Oasis wouldn't give me the time of day, but I went up
to Lavastorm recently and had no problem (except for the one about getting
my little gnome ass past the guards).

there is a dark elf camp in south ro that has a smith that sells
combine weapons. the gypsies in lavastorm and oasis wouldn't give my
dark elf the time of day. have to be careful at the south ro camp,
because dry bone skeletons, shriveled mummies and desert madmen pass
through the camp frequently.

The Dark Elf Merchants in South Ro appear to carry some Combine Weapons. Check
the one named Smith. There is also an Artist merchant that carries sketches not
available in Neriak. I went there with a 16th level Magician, and had summoned
a 17th level pet. During my attempts to examine the merchandise, I fought off
two Madmen, one Mummy, and was eventually driven off by a Ghoul. I guess that
says something about the minimum level Verant had in mind for doing Trade
Skills. Oddly enough, the third merchant appears to sell the same items as
ChonChon does in the Neriak Foreign Quarter. Maybe it's for the benifit of the
Trolls and Ogres.

Now, if someone could just find a Dark Elf-friendly merchant that sells
arrow-making supplies... (God, trying trade skills on the team-wars servers
must be a good simulation of life in some lesser hell. "Light" Elves don't have
sharpening stones, the evil races and the shorties can't make bows, and the
majority of the human team has to brave the Halflings to get the items they need
to learn Blacksmithing, or run through Highpass, and hope the Halflings or Dark
Elves aren't camping the Kithicor zone line. The advanced Brewing guide is only
available in Freeport, which isn't a big deal. Many of the research-related
items require going to just about every corner of the world, which is a big
deal.)

Try Grobb after the next patch. On the test server, the merchant to the left
of the weapon and armor shop who only sold a couple of bows and arrows was
recently upgraded to carry lots of fletching supplies.
