Shaman piercing - can't use daggers???????????
Whuz
why even have a piercing skill? Daggers all over the place (among
other non-shamen piercing weapons), but I can't seem to figure out how
to use them (even though I do have a piercing skill). I'm sure there
must be a reason for this (like design is incomplete?)...
Yeah I know - druids only use scimitar - but there are good store
bought, fine steel and even combine scimitars. I don't need analogy -
just specifics WRT shaman and piercing.

There are a couple of 'eh' spears out there, mostly for shamans wanting a
barbarian rogue look so people stop bugging them for SoW. Other than that,
the only *good* shaman piercer in the game ATM is the Gloomwater Harpoon (9
31, +4 STR, +25 HP) from Kedge. I've no idea how much it goes for, but given
the stats, it ought to be in the 500-1000 plat range.

Piercing was added so shamen can use spears. Unfortunately, there are only
around four spears in the entire game with SHM in their description, and with
the exception of the gloomwater harpoon from kedge, they all suck ass.
I fully expect a 12 dam 24 delay spear proc'ing plague to be dropped in PoH any
day now, just to piss us off.

Heh - but 10 to 1 it will be shaman class only, but, for human, half
elf, high elf and gnome races only. The equipment designs are getting
sloppier and sloppier..
