Its been officially announced that there will be an elder scrolls mmo.
While I have my doubts that they can pull off a balanced version of an
elder scrolls, Im still interested in checking it out.

Ive heard tell that it is set ~1000 years before skyrim. Can anyone
confirm that, and is there any timeline officianado that could tell us
what current lore says is supposed to be happening in the world around
that time? What provinces are in and out of the imperium and who is
aligned against whom?

Even has the MMO's spot listed in the timeline although without any
details (presumable so as not to spoil things.)

I have yet to see a MMO that I wanted to spend even one second playing.

I'm disappointed that they didn't set it during a dragon break. That
would provide an in-universe explanation for instancing, and could be
quite convenient in other ways as well.
