Please, put me out of my 'misery' and tell me how to get them to come to
your dungeon...
Thanks in advance =)
I believe 1. by building treasure/prison/torture chamber at least
2. by throwing a special 'code' of creatures in the tempel fountain, i do
not know the code since i didn't specialy threw my slaves in the water
according to list (i was experimenting, i got the horned reaper once by
throwing every creature in it, won the level too after that^_^) but ok,
there is a list, maybe on pcgameworld, there you'll find which creatures you
have to sacrifice to get your desired creature (it'll come through the
portal so make sure you have one!) i hope i helped you out, chaos rocks!
That's DK1 you're talking about: and you're thinking of the Dark
Mistress, who is attracted by the Torture Chamber in both DK1 and DK2.
The "Maiden of the Nest" is something else, and is only available with
DK2 patched version 1.7, and even then she is NOT available in the
original campaign - only in skirmish or multiplayer levels. Nor is she
attracted by sacrifice: you have to have the right room combination (in
this case, 3x3 each of Temple and Library), and be playing a skirmish
level. (The same is true for the Elite Creatures in DK2: they are not
part of the original campaign, even after patch 1.7.)
I mention this because you *can* get a Mistress by sacrificing, in
DK1: specifically, by sacrificing a Beetle and a Spider. You can also
get a Reaper by sacrificing a Bile Demon, Troll and Mistress.
You CANNOT get a Horned Reaper in DK2 by sacrificing: this is how I
know it's DK1 that you're thinking of.

ok, then I guess I got faulted but hey! I only have DK1 and I simply loved
those dark mistresses, but ok, no one said it was about DK2

Oh yes. Dark Mistresses are the coolest monster in DK1 of all. Love
them. ;-)
If you want sacrificial combinations from DK1:
Imp - cost of creating imps reduced by 150 gold for ALL subsequent imps
(minimum 150: so, normally your first four imps cost 150, 300, 450, 600.
After sacrificing two, your first four cost 150, 150, 150, 300. And so
on.)
Spider, Fly - get Warlock.
Spider, Beetle - get Mistress.
3x Spider - get Bile Demon.
Bile Demon, Mistress, Troll - get Horned Reaper.
2x Fly - immediately complete current Research. (Generally useless
unless you find a Temple early, long before researching it.)
2x Beetle - complete current Manufacturing. (Also useless, unless you
have something like one low-level worker in your workshop and are trying
to make a magic door.)
2x Bile Demon - all creatures turn into chickens
Ghost - all chickens in your realm die.
Vampire - all creatures become diseased.
Reaper - all your creatures get angry.
The Orc, Warlock, Dragon, Hellhound, Skeleton, Demonspawn and all
hero-types (should you wish to sacrifice a hero-type) have no effect
when sacrificed. (Which is annoying: sacrificing an enemy should make
your monsters happy, at least... ;-)
Jonathan.
I love them to, but 1 of the creatures i love most is the Bile Demon. I love
those indigestive sounds ! LOL

Spare Researcher Space means that when you point at the library the maxium
number of creatures that can research at one time isn't completely used
