That should get rid of it.

the only way I know is to reinstall the game

Well you could just re-install it, but I noticed that you have an
Australian return email address. A re-installation probably won't
work because the Aussie version (at your government's insistence) has
the parental lock permanently turned on. I suggest you divorce your
politicians in the next election. As to your wife, well, that's up to
you. Blame her if you like, but Down Under the game comes out of the
box with the lock locked on.
Regardless, there is a way to hack the files to disable the parental
lock in the Aussie version. I suggest you back up any important Duke
files you have before you use it, just in case you mess up. Or keep
the CD handy.
Fix for the Australian censored version:
1. backup the original duke3d.exe incase of a mistake
eg. copy duke3d.exe duke3d.bak
2. Rename duke3d.exe to duke3d.bin
eg. ren duke3d.exe duke3d.bin
3. Run debug program from DOS
eg. debug duke3d.bin
3a. Enter these commands
-E 200 58
-E 210 58
-W
-Q
4. Rename duke3d.bin back to duke3d.exe
eg. ren duke3d.bin duke3d.exe
5. Type edit duke3d.cfg
Look for the line that says
Environment = " "
and change it to
Environment = "" (ie.remove the space between talk marks)
Look for the line that says
Out = 1
Change it to
Out = 0 (thats a numeric zero)
Save the file, exit back to DOS and run duke3d
(The Aussie fix was copied from a post by the ever-helpful Vanth).

I believe you put the game.con or user.con file in your editor, and use
your programing knowledge to re-write it.

Yes, you can re-install the game, and then make your OWN
parental-lock code, so she can't mess around with it anymore, OR, you can
torture the code she used out of her.
Hope it helps,
