I read your message about a free downloadable demo version of TurboDambase 2.0.
This demo comes with the notation of 680 draughtsgames (10x10). All played
in a recent tournament in 1998. I had a quick look and I did like the
program, even though it is not for the Mac ;-)
The complete TurboDambase package comes with a database (180.000 games). I
was told that this database also includes the games played in recent dutch
COMPUTER draughts championships.
As you know I am the author of Za-Zen (formerly known as: MacDammen), a
(10x10) draughts program for the Mac and I participated in these
tournaments. I do like to have these games available and maybe other
paricipants feel the same way.
Would you consider making these games available?

Ron

Has anyone got large 10x10 databases available in PDN
or a similar "public" format?

Thank you for your nice words about Turbo Dambase.
The demo version of Turbo Dambase can be
downloaded at:
The Turbo Dambase package is shipped with a
cd-rom with more than 180,000 games.
I have searched for all computer games and
found 750 of them. All dutch championships
ever played are in the database! The first one
was held in 1987 and the last one in 1998.
There are also a few other computer tournaments
like olympiade 1989 and olypiade 1991.
If someone is interested in these 750 games,
then download the demo version, then
send me an email that you like to have the
computer games. In return I will send you
a demo database with all computer games.
With the demo version you can replay the
games, print games and search games.
All search functions are available in the
demo. You can search all games played
by Truus, all games with a certain opening,
all games with a pattern, for example
white pieces on 36,31,27, 26 and black
pieces on 16,18,22 and so on.

Turbo Dambase 2.0 is shipped with cd-rom with
180,000 games. You can download a demo version
of the program:
When you buy this program, you can use the
games for your own use. Or convert them to
PDN. But only for your own use!
It is not allowed to give the games to other
people, no matter what format you convert
them into.
