As far as I'm aware, they still haven't been able to play Doom on an
original GB ;)

This isn't really "Doom running on Doom", like it being able to fire up
a copy of itself to play on an in game/in world terminal. It's just causing the OS
to launch a second copy of the game.

Now if someone could port a copy of Dosbox into GZdoom or something and
enable the dos version to be playable inside the game itself, I would
be much more iimpressed. But why stop there? How about a slightly
modified E1M1 that has a working computer terminal and firing
up Quake inside it? :-)
