I saw some P.C. mag' yesterday that had a screen shot of a Wolfenstein
level with Pacman characters floating around.
Is this shareware? Does anyone know where I can get a copy from?

Thanks

Graham.

Actually, if my memory serves me right, there was a Pac Man level in one of
the Wolfensteins (Spear of Destiny?) I know it was one of the secret levels
Sorry I can't be more helpful.

This is a part of the original Wolf-3D's episode 3 (so it is not shareware).
Actually, the secret level of episode 3 (level 10) is the original PAC-MAN
maze, and the four ghost monsters are there to make things difficult...

I believe one of the ghost monsters shows up a little less in his environment
also in the Episode 6 secret level (10), although it is in a very hidden
place.

I don't remember any secret levels in SOD with Pac Man characters (I think I
found them all). The last level, however, doesn't end with getting the Spear.
Once you get it you're transported to a demon plane (possibly an early vision
of Doom) where there are a number of ghosts floating around. I suppose that
they could remind someone of Pac Man characters.

In article <Cz1tM...@info.swan.ac.uk>,

I downloaded this Pacman "wad" (or whatever it's called) from a local bbs
and installed it into my wolfestein shareware...only to have it screw it
up entirely. I'm not sure why, maybe it's only for the registered
wolfenstein, but although i did turn the characters into various pac man
characters, it also made my gun disappear and locked up my computer every
time i tried to fire.

Actully, Its level 10 in one of the commercial episodes of Wolf 3-D. I
think it is episode 2 or 3.

No, you have to get the yellow balls, then chase down the enemies, and eat em!

Ugh .. I can't remember which Wolfie episode it was in, but I eventually
trapped myself in a room with this Pacman ghost in it that couldn't be
killed and justt kept coming after me and.. well, you get it.

Anyone else run into that ? The room was small and had a pillar in the
middle .. ugh !

Surprise! If you have a recent enough version of MAPEDIT for Wolf3D,
and look at the critter list, there ARE actually ghosts that you can
pick as enemies. I have never seen a Pacman patch, though, and I think
the ghosts in the MAPEDIT were only for the registered version. Take
a look though, I'm not absolutely positive. (and remove the patch also,
reinstall the program if you have to!)

Hmmm... That could be an interesting idea.... Reminds me of an old CGA game
called 3-DEMON... =) Yes, it was a 3-D pacman, in 4 colors counting the
background, with simplistic line-art maze and 4 directions you can face, and
ghosts with no eyes, only big gaping mouths that chomped you up without a
second thought. =)
