I just posted REDRUM.WAD to the ALT.BINARIES.DOOM NewsGroup (you'll find it somewhere after the 10,000 posts of YAKWORLD.WAD...). It's a superb custom level, so check it out (also check out E1M1SAS.WAD (my own PWAD!)). Don't send comments to me, send them to the author of the level! SAS Here's the text file for REDRUM.WAD: ================================================================ Title : REDRUM Author : Mal Blackwell Email Address : HarpPlayer (America On-Line) Misc. Author Info : Professional DOOM editor. "Now if I could only get paid for this" Description : Redrum is a rather large file, over 300k. For some reason beyond my comprehension DOOM will not let you save your game while playing Redrum.wad, so you better be pretty good at doom! Also may I suggest that you run doom with your "messages on". This is the only way you will know if and what key you will need to open a locked door for I have not color coded them (I just didn't like the look of em' in my level) I have included Deathmatch starts in this level but I did not design the level for it. The level is so expansive you might never find each other. I think there is a nice mix of monsters, amo, and first aid in the level. If you think it is too hard or too easy you may add or delet amo and health to suit your needs (I don't mind). I have also hidden my secret doors very well, and you may have to use more of a "Wolfenstein" approach to find them. Have fun! Additional Credits to The Review Crew: Chris Klie, Peter Ronhovde and Scott Smith, Thanx to all of you guys for play testing Redrum and giving it such a great review!! Also thanx to id Software for such an incredible peice of software and all the people behind DEU(Thank god for DEU 5.2gcc I cant wait for 6.0!!)and BSP. nuff said! ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E1M1 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes Difficulty Settings : Yes New Sounds : No New Graphics : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : 80+Hours (Boy do I need a life) Editor(s) used : Deu 5.1, 5.2gcc and Bsp 1.1x Known Bugs : None. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels or Episodes. If you do I'll come to your house and beat you with a wet noodle! You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with no modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file intact. * Where to get this WAD * America On-Line (PC Games Forum) or where ever you can find it!

I recently posted REDRUM.ZIP, a level created by a friend of mine,
to ATL.BINARIES.DOOM. Unfortunately, it was just after that
PeckerHead posted YAKWORLD 10,000 times and some people have e-mailed
me saying that they are unable to get it. If enough people are having
a problem getting REDRUM.ZIP from that group, I'll repost it. Let me
know...

And... uh... have you tried E1M1SAS.WAD?
