I posted this in another spot but it seems better here so ...
I have a laptop (T4400C) and I just got a Digispeech PORTABLE sound adapter. The adapter uses the parallel port and does not work with DOOM .99. Is it worth upgrading to a newer version or will this approach never work with the DOOM sound
method.
The Digispeech box says it does not support DOS extensions. Am I DOOMed to only hear clicks and pops. I want more from life. Any help?

PS this unit does work great with XWING and WOLF3D.

gee how lucky for me you came along with these questions...I just posted
a question about sound adaptors for laptops yesterday and now I know of
one already that owon't work with DOOM! :)
Hope someone out there will let us know which (if any) laptop sound
adatpers are likely/proven to work with this game?
